EAGLES, 'SKINS OUT OF WALKER SWEEPSTAKES
A league source tells us that the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins are no longer among the teams interested in acquiring the services of receiver Javon Walker.
There's a suspicion that Walker's agent is puffing in this regard, overstating to the media the interest in the player in an effort to create a market for him.
Walker was traded from the Packers to the Broncos in 2006, and was released recently in order to avoid a significant roster bonus.

Teams still have questions about his knee. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't 100% healthy.

WALKER HAS MANY SUITORS
The latest example of Mike Shanahan's inability to make good decisions about acquiring (and paying) veteran talent has finally gotten his long-coveted crack at free agency.
And several teams are interested.
According to Michael Smith of ESPN.com, at least ten teams have inquired about receiver Javon Walker's availability -- the 49ers, Bills, Buccaneers, Panthers, Raiders, Vikings, Giants, Redskins, Cowboys, and Eagles.
The Cowboys were working on a possible trade for Walker before he was released in advance of a significant bonus payment, and the Bucs reportedly were also interested in doing a deal.
The big question with Walker is his knee, and even if 32 teams were interested our guess is that he'll have to sign a deal that defers the bulk of the bonus money until 2009, after he shows that he can still perform at a high level.
