Eagles are taking alot of heat for pulling Hurts against the WFT. They are saying this hurts the integrity of the game and and opens a can of worms as far as the gambling side of it.
How is this any different than the Steelers sitting half their team?

You don't think there is any difference?

Can't believe a qb who was 7 for 20 and won once in 4 starts is generating such a story by being pulled.

Fact of the matter is we saw Mason Rudolph start in a game that mattered to us...nobody cares.

Are you upset at what they did or that it affected the Dolphins?

It is what is is, if we wanted to get in the playoffs we should have been one of the SEVEN best teams in our conference and/or taken care of our own business.

All this fuss over the poor 6 win Giants not getting into the playoffs is just so silly. They would have been the worst playoff team I have ever seen, of which the team that actually "won" that division this year earned that title.

It's also a very common occurrence for teams to get backup players snaps in week 17. This was just all magnified by the fact that some feel the drama of the NFL's last prime time game of the season was ruined.

LMAO at those crying about the Giants-Eagles situation.

First off, a 6-win team doesn’t have any standing complaining about anything. Win more games!
It’s laughable that a 6 win team could even threaten to qualify. Poor form, NFL!

It’s bad enough WAS got in with 7 wins.

Secondly, for all this bitching I’m hearing and reading over a 6-win team — nobody aside from Emmanuel Acho seemed to recognize that MIA didn’t qualify as a 10-win team and that PIT sat many of their starters as well — including Big Ben and TJ Watt.

He noted that MIA and Flores aren’t complaining. And most the mainstream media didn’t even pick up on it further showing how they don’t really watch all games or pay full attention.

In the end, every team should do what is best for them. If a team barely misses out on a postseason birth — when SEVEN were available each conference — they have nobody but themselves to blame.

Moral of the story: win more games! And don’t lose to crap teams like DEN or PHI.

It really is kind of ridiculous that all this fuss is being made about this. I don’t blame Philly one bit bc they weren’t going to the playoffs so why wouldn’t you try to position yourself better in the draft? The hell with the “Intergrity” of the game. That went out the window long ago. Look at some of the off the field antics these players pull and you’ve always got some team that will say well the talent outweighs the off the field stuff. People are only complaining bc it has to with a New York team and whether they made the playoffs or not. New York is a huge market of course people want them in rather than Washington. And honestly does it really matter? Whichever of the 3 Washington NY or Dallas were all going to get smoked by TB anyway and if if Washington somehow manages to upset TB they ain’t going any further than that. Philly done exactly what I would have and that’s improve your draft position.
