when westbrook gets the touches, the eagles win.

hes got 16 carries tonight, most of the season. and they got 10 points on the board right now. should be throwing it more.

Yep, keep giving him the ball. He's averaging a cool 3.4 ypc this year. Karim Abdul-Jabbar range there

I see LenDale White in their future.

16 carries? lol. tomlinson was running it 19 times and people said "give it to him more!"

That's because Tomlinson is much better than Westbrook & has proven it week in & week out.

so how many carries should he have before your theory becomes true?

what any premiere back needs. 20+ carries

how can u say this then considering he has 1 career game where he rushed the ball 20+ times.

Westbrook is a 3rd down back. Theres no way he can carry the ball 25 times a game and still remain effective and healthy. They still need an every down back. Hes not even in LTs zipcode, give me a break. Id trade 3 Westrbrooks for LT in less than a heartbeat.

Notice this happened after TO's incident? They couldn't afford to lose their top two offensive weapons heading into next season.

They have been working on Westy's contract all this year. The reason it was signed today was that they could apply it to THIS years cap, which they have a ton of. The deadline was today so it had to be signed before today.

It just so happened TO caused his scene in the same week. If Westys contract wasnt signed the other day, it would have waited til the offseason.

Both incidents are completely unrelated.

The incidents are related. Yes, the Eagles have been talking with Westbrook all year about his contract but their talks had been touchy feely & well short of the 5 years $27M range he was seeking (similar to Lamont Jordan's contract). Once it was clear that T.O. would not be back next year, Westbrook's agent was preparing to cash in on his client's expected stock increase due to becoming the team's #1 option. Thus the Eagles ramped up their negociations & caved on Saturday night fearing they'd lose both their offensive skill players which coincendently happened before the Monday deadline, not the other way around.
