Eagles want Gatlin !?!

Asafa Powell isn't the only one who wants a piece of Justin Gatlin. The Philadelphia Eagles do, too.


Gatlin's agent, Renaldo Nehemiah, said Thursday the Eagles have made several inquiries the last three weeks to see if his client was interested in playing football. Nehemiah, who played in the NFL for four seasons in the 1980s after starring in the hurdles, said the Eagles have left phone messages and sent e-mails to him about Gatlin. The Eagles are desperate for a receiver and kickoff returner.

This is definitely being overblown alot of places...

If they did it it's soley as a long project. The pure mass amount of people teams are interested in is insane, I guarantee more than the Eagles have looked ath im.

The idea of Philly being desperate for a reciever is also exaggerated. They took a future LT over Walker, and havent made a huge play for the others out there. They have a promising second year man, a guy who catches everything thrown to him but doesnt have ability as more than a possesion guy, and a player who can stretch the field if he returns from injury. Combined with a good pass recieving TE and a good pass catching RB there not bad off. The offense wasnt as explosive but was more efficient before TO and they have superior weapons to that.
