Earl Thomas

208??? i think that's a bit heavy for his body type...

sure doesn't hit like a guy carrying 208...

He tackles better than people think, but that's why this combine is so important for Thomas. He has to show that he's the same dynamic athlete at 208.

Absolutely in play at #12.

I had no PROBLEM with his tackling. My only criticism was he always looked like a small guy to me and if you're going to be a small guy then you need to be like a human missile in terms of physicality, which he isn't. But he's not a small guy. That's pretty clear. He doesn't have BAD physicality, I was just holding him to an unnecessary standard.

i want to see tuesday how this 208 suits him...i think it might be a bit too much on his frame...

at the same time you don't need to be a heavy hitter to play a good free safety in the pros...i realize this also...

honestly i would have rather seen him come in at a solid 200 lbs...208 just seems heavy to me when i would watch him on tape...we'll see...i know when i watched him i thought he's between 190-195 lbs max

We'll see what happens. Thomas - so far - is the story of the combine. On Tuesday, we'll see if 208 is really good or really bad for him.

come on man...story of the combine...he hasn't even worked out yet...

i'd say bruce campbell has been the story of the combine so far 315 lbs and run a 4.82...among all his other workout #s

not that i care but tim tebow put up some impressive workout #s also today...

The difference to me is that Campbell's really not a very good player. He's a freakish athlete. Thomas was one of the very best players in college football last season. And, what Campbell did isn't shocking. We knew he's a great athlete. He might be a bit better than we thought, but not THAT much better. Thomas comes in 10-13 lbs heavier than expected, and we have no idea how he'll carry the weight. To me, that's a story.

Also, I found a quote from him in response to the added weight:

"The extra weight helps if I'm going to be in the box, banging heads all day,'' Thomas said.

How does he describe himself to teams?

"I'm physical,'' Thomas said. "Versatile. A hard worker. I'm not looking to sit back. I want to make an impact right away.''
