Assuming we pick somewhere in the top 20 in the 1st rd, and several Juniors declare eligible, here is an early draft board for the Dolphins. Also assuming we can't trade for more picks.

1 Reggie Bush - Miami is about the only team that could pass on RB
2 Brady Quinn - He should declare , easy top 5
3 Matt Leinart
4 AJ Hawk
5 Vince Young
6 D'Brickashaw Ferguson
7 Marcus McNeill
8 Mario Williams
9 Mathias Kiwanuka
10 Jay Cutler - Not sure, hope he's not just hype

11 Jimmy Williams
12 Jon Scott
13 Eric Winston
14 Ahmad Brooks
15 Chad Greenway
16 Joe Thomas
17 Rodrique Wright
18 Darnell Bing
19 Haloti Ngata
20 Michael Huff

Have I missed anyone. Can't find a top 20 WR.

Looks close..mine would have no Quinn(he's Staying..who can stop himnext yr?) and young will drop near 10-12 IMO.

ngata is top 5-7

He could go higher, but we added Vickerson and our 5th rd. this season with Manny. I'm not sure we would go DT in the 1st. Definately a possibility, could be the BPA, but he would probably cost us Cutler or a top flight DB.

i just noticed this is a DOLPHINS' top 20. that being said, he should be top 3

Technically, I should have Quinn ahead of Bush, if they were both there, I would have take the QB. Same for Leinart. I only have Bush up there because I think he has real value as a WR and he's just so damn good.

there's no team in the league that would even dream about thinking about moving bush to receiver at any point in his career. he has no value at WR at all

I agree. And he is just too good of a RB.

re:

I agree, no WAY Quinn declares this year. He's got a fantastic shot at a National Title next year, and would forever be the guy who took Notre Dame back to the promiseland, other than Weis.

No way Bush gets moved to WR, like others have said.

Please, let Young go in the Top 5. I don't want him available when we come up.

LaRon Landry, FS. Would fit in Saban's defensive backfield perfectly. Probably can move Schulters to SS.

Quinn risks a lot of money if he doesn't come out this year.

Both the NFL teams and veterans don't like the fact these high draft picks are making mega deals.

Those sorts of contracts will come to an end after the 2006 draft.

If Quinn waits until 2007, he'll be lucky to get a contract on par with what Ronnie Brown got, let alone a contract better than A. Smith got in 2005 or Leinart will get in 2006.

So the question for Quinn becomes, how much money will he potentially lose by coming out in 2007 instead of 2006 and is that worth a potential national championship and another year in college?

maybe money isn't that big of a deal to him

Sure, maybe he'll take league minimum so the team that selects him can spend more money on other positions.

True, it would be rather drastic moving him to WR. We have no shot or need for Reggie. He has lined up this year in the slot and looked very comfortable.
