Sorry if this has already been stated...

Why are we starting training camp on the 24th (or 25th I can't remember) when most teams don't start till the 28th-29th?
 
Im pretty sure its because of the HOF game, other teams start pre season a while after the HOF game, so we got to get prepared earlier.
 
New coach, new system, new staff

Plus we also have the HOF game to deal with...so we play earlier than everyone else.

It's not because of the HOF game as far as I know. I believe it is because we have a new head coach. When you have a new head coach the NFL grants you more mini-camps and training camp days than normal NFL teams. For instance, I believe other teams are having their rookies start practice on the 24th but are not allowed to have their veterans practice until like, the 27th. Because we have a new head coach I think we're allowed to start full throttle on the 24th.

You may be right, but look at all the other teams that have new head coaches, there not starting earlier, 49ers are starting on the 30th, and I believe the browns are starting theres the 29th. Bears start the 24th.

so does the whole team report on the 24th? or just the rookies and younger guys? plus i cant remember years before but do the pads come on 1st day?
