Easy on mike McCoy, give him a chance..

Its a sad day. This guy doesn't deserve a HC job yet and it looks like were gonna be stupid enough to make him HC.

But Philbin does? Or Toub the special teams guru? How about Todd Bowls (who I feel is the right choice)? Or Chud that everyone loves? All of these guys have very similar experience (except Toub who has NONE other then special teams and T Bowls who has HC experience for all for 3 games.) so we cant get mad at the front office for it’s choice based on that. We are rolling the dice with any one of them.

If McCoy is the guy then we have to give him a chance. I mean some guys are on here making foolish statements like we are going to run the option and the Wildcat. That’s not McCoy. He ran that offense because it is the offense that would have worked with the personnel he had available. Some people are complaining because he ran a run first offence in Carolina ( By the way they went to a Superbowl with that offense too for the record). But we don’t know if that is McCoys philosophy either because his 1[SUP]st[/SUP] year in Denver he ran a pass happy offence with Mcdaniels. And again we don’t know if that was McCoy either casue Fox came to Denver.

What I’m getting at fellas is we have no idea what McCoy is because of the simple fact that the thing that makes him attractive is the same thing that is making him hatted. That is his willingness to adapt to the personnel. We have no idea what his philosophy is and by all means he wont be the OC he is the head coach so lets what and see who he hires as the OC before we pass judgment on the guy.

He's not even here yet. Give the guy a freaking chance, hope for the best, get behind our new coach. What else makes sense?

Denvers defense played out of their minds during the run the Broncos went on. During that timeframe McCoy's offense kicked A LOT of field goals. So get used to more of the same.... getting excited about 3 points. :(

just another jim zorn, cam cameron, scott linehan, brad childress, norv turner, guys with good offensive minds but cant be a head coach, cant command a lockeroom, this is a joke

And you know this how? I love how everyone knows how this is going to turn out. I am excited about McCoy, we got exactly what most of us Dolphin fans wanted. A young creative offensive cord. Just because most of you dont know him doesn't mean he's going to suck. He'll be alot better then Philbin in my opinion. McCoy is 39 and already has had more interest from other teams around the league then Philbin who is 50

I am 100% ready to support whoever is our next HC. Having said that, the absolute LAST word I want to hear associated with him is "conservative". Like Sparano's thinking that if you get up by a field goal you can't throw a pass. Seriously, even though he is inexplicably hated by many on this board, Matt Moore throws one of the better deep balls in the league, and this is backed up by our big play stats. We need that. No ground and pound.

Well if we run the ball and play stout D we can actually compete in this division - you have to be able to dictate the LOS if you don't have a great QB - i would love RGIII over Luck from what I see he has an accurate canon and can escape the pocket and throw sideline to sideline - I think McCoy can coach either philosophy way with Ireland depending on if they can move up in the draft

It wouldn’t matter if we hired a special team’s coordinator as our head coach. People on Finheaven would still say the same bull****. "Give him a chance" bla bla bla. The point is Mike McCoy is not qualified IMO and he wouldn’t even be in the damn discussion if it was not for Matt Prater, a recovered onside kick against the Fins, and Marion Barber running out of bounds.

Agreed. I think were moving in the right direction offensive minded coach good defense now all we need is to trade up for Rg3. Can we pull it off? Is the question.
