it seems like lots of fans are already looking at next weeks dolphins patriots game. please stop guys. we got the raiders this sunday and although they are garbage and they're fans are garbage (living in south cali I know this) we can't over look them. when we play crappy teams, we play like crap and we let the other team back in the games. this should be an easy win but like me and some of you guys know, there are no easy wins in the greates sport league of all, the NFL. so lets forget about the patriots and the the rest of the schedule right now and go into DOLPHIN STADIUM sunday and play hard and kick some raider A$$.
GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!

do you seriously think that if we as fans 'overlook' the Raiders, that it will have any affect on the game.

the players and coaches better not overlook anyone, but why worry about what fans on a message board are thinking about?

I think it's all about karma and superstition. All of which is....
:bs:
Just ones opinion. :)

burger, ITS A SUPERSTICIOUS THING!!!!!!! AND WE ARE PART OF THE TEAM. WELL MAYBE NOT YOU. WE CHEER FOR THEM, BUY MERCHANDISE, PAY FOR TICKETS. ALL THAT IS SUPPORTING THE TEAM. WE FANS ARE PART OF THIS TEAM. WHEN WE EAT THE SAME MEAL EVERY SUNDAY, WEAR A CERTAIN JERSEY ON SUNDAY, DO A CERTAIN THING DURING THE WEEK, ITS SUPERSTICIOUS. WHY DO WE DO THIS? BECAUSE WE WANT THE TEAM TO WIN. SO WE DO HAVE A SAY IN WHAT HAPPENS ON SUNDAY.
BURGER= WAMBURGER WITH A SIDE OF FRENCH CRIES.

No offense but I doubt that me overlooking the Raiders is going to make a difference this week. That may be just me though.

Last I checked, being a fan doesn't get me on the field, doesn't get me to score a TD, doesn't get me to throw a vicious hit, and doesn't get my hands under the center's *** for him to snap me the ball.

Sorry bro, but I havent seen 1 Dolphins vs Ratriots thread on here (Actually I just saw 1 that was moved) .. See a crapload of Dolphins vs. Oakland though.. I dont think any fans are looking ahead of Oakland, and if they are they have to be crazy after what happened against Seattle...

Now if the team is looking ahead of Oakland and to NE, it wont matter if we play Oakland because if we are taking them for granted they will beat us like Seattle almost did...

That being said I fully expect us to play down to Oakland. This will turn out to be another close game and we wont cover that 10.5 point spread I stated earlier.

A few fans looking ahead really doesn't make a difference on the outcome of the game.

Yes, you could make the argument that when the majority of fans, analysts, national media, etc. look ahead, the team can get caught up in that. In that case, the players aren't immune to questioning by reporters, stuff on sports networks, newspaper articles, etc.

But we're not there yet. Nobody cares too much about us yet. Now, what I'd really worry about is everyone (even our own players) looking ahead to a potentially big week 17 matchup with the Jets and ignoring our week 16 game...in that case I'd really worry about a large portion of the fan base and national media looking ahead and it actually affecting the team.

It will make a huge difference if we lose the game and you all go crazy calling for everyone to be fired and players needing to be cut.

We have a game this Sunday and we haven't won yet.

I don't think we are oerlooking them. I do think we should win this by about 17-21 points considering how bad Oakland's offense is. Anything can happen though when you play in the NFL so we cannot take them lightly.

Look what happened last weekend. Remember all of those threads about how "OMG! We will crush the Seahawks!" and "Do u think we'll c Henne this week?" When Sunday came around the Seahawks kept us on edge til the final gun. I'm not overlooking the Raiders, and hopefully neither are the Dolphins.

There is a reason why we are fans and not coaches. Neither the players, nor the coaches are overlooking a single game. They will prepare the same way they do when they play the Patriots with Tom Brady.
