eckel

We picked him up from the pats, but then he was activated to the armed forces. He should be back next year. We still have his rights though...

See, comments like this are what really annoy me here....

What shred of evidence can you provide that has any opportunity to justly back up this post you just made for a newbie or someone uninformed reading that?? According to that statement the person would believe Eckel has played in the NFL, has done pretty weel, and can provide help. When in reality, Eckel hasn't even played 1 regular season game and has already been cut from his initial squad.

Eckel is the real deal

I followed Eckel in college and during his camp with the Pats. He has all the qualities that make for an excellent NFL fullback, good size, power, speed, and outstanding blocking. I think he will be even more effective than Heath. My humble opinion: "He is Csonka with soft hands". It was a smooth move by Saban to pick him up, knowing it cost him nothing as regards the 53-man roster, and he has nothing but upside when he returns from his military duty.

wasnt he the fb that rushed for over 1000 yds at notre dame last year

Kyle was indeed a beast in college, but not at Notre Dame, the reason he has a military requirement to fulfill is because he graduated from the Naval Academy.
