he should have been suspended after chargers/denver game. When I saw he was the ref at beginning of game, I knew one team was going to get jipped.

1. One of the lineman gave Miami a first down, then Hochuli put ball a yard back. Sparano challenged call and lost!\

2. On the last drive porter hits Schaub who appeared to have fumbled. the play was not reviewed in last 2 mins!

3. A few plays later Miami intercepts ball and play is reviewed and overturned in last 2 mins. Why was play in point #2 not reviewed?

There was also another spot in the 1st half where Hochuli's crew moved the ball at least a foot back costing Miami from moving the chains on 3rd down

Hochuli owns a law firm and is not a full time employee of NFL like all the refs. Obviously this goes on in NBA with fixing games. Now I am convinced Hochuli and his crew is doing the same.

Cost us a much needeed win!

This is a very bad way to make your first post.

While some of those plays were close, it looks like all of them were called correctly.

Hochuli was not on defense during that final drive........or was he? Yes lets blame the refs.......:rolleyes2:

i didnt even realize it was the same dude that made questionable calls in two consecutive games, i can remember the call in the Broncos/Chargers game and then he made another the week after...i feel like we always get the bad end of the deal anyway. Initially my first thought was that he fumbled the ball, of course my opinion is biased cuz im a die-hard Miami fan and i wanted it so badly. However, it shouldve been reviewed. I bet anything if it were the other way around(mario williams hittin chad etc) it wouldve gone under review...being a Miami fan u expect to get screwed over and some bad stuff to go down. First of all, we blew alot of other plays that wouldve made a huge difference. How about Renaldo Hill lettin it go thru his hands when they were close to the endzone. The 4th down where it went thru Yeremiah Bells hands and caught by Andre Johnson...that was just ridiculous. I almost collapsed after that happened. Our inability to convert 3rd downs is what lost the game for us in my opinion. It was like when we were ahead Sparano kept running the ball on first and second down and then tryin to dump off a short pass for the first down and we just had a tough time doing it.

Better to lose the close ones now while we're still rebuilding. Miami is younger and stronger, yet still suffers from major flaws. Another strong off-season could turn this around. Chin up, good times R a-coming ;)

Hey, it happens. When you are at the opposing team's home things just don't seem to go your way. That's why it's crucial to beat the team with putting points up instead of relying on reviews.

the Dolphins lost this game all by themselves and not the ref was to blame.. just because its Hochuli how had one bad call it doesn't mean that every close call he makes is wrong..and to say that hes fixing games is dumb..

to #1 : to put the ball back was right.. Cramer never reached the first down marker so it was the right call.. it was close but right..

to #2 : Schaubs arm was going forward on this play so it was again right.. maybe this should have been reviewed to have absolute security that the call is right..

to #3 : so first of all the ball clearly hit the ground before Goodman caught it.. imo it was so close and this ball was flying like a wounded duck because Schaub got hit on the pass and therefore the Refs wanted to review it.. and one Ref had a real good position at the interception and I think he had doubts that the ball was intercepted and so they reviewed it..

When the ball was first spotted, I thought we were getting a HUGE break...he didn't get the first...it was a good call...deal with it.

I have no complaints with the refs yesterday, all their calls appeared correct.

Can't say the same thing about the defense.

i kind of agree with the first poster but not in that we lost beacuse of the ref but I do agree he should be suspended. Every game this year he has made a blunder and has had horrible calls from the sd/den game to last weeks newo/minny game. But we lost cuz our defense couldnt stop the texans they where completing 3rd down conversitions and we werent and that is why we lost. But still Hocoulli just be demotated he isint sure of himself anymore and is making bad calls every week.

Hochuli is usually one of the more reliable refs. He's been making some bad calls and second guessing himself this year, but really, I can't think of any other times he's been inconsistent or blown some serious calls in the past years.

By the way, all NFL reps are part-time. That's been one of my biggest complaints for NFL officiating. This is a multi-billion dollar organization that cheaps out on paying and training it's bread and butter officiating. All other professional sports have year 'round training for their officials and the NFL needs to do the same. If I remember correctly, they've only recently been stepping up the training programs a little, but I don't think they are year 'round yet.

ummm...The first down (or not) call was right. If we'd've gotten the first down, that would have been a bad call. Shaub's arm was going forward as well. Just becuase the calls go against you doesn't mean they were bad calls.

it hurts to lose, but blaming the refs? Not good either. if we'd played better then no way could the refs take a game away.
