Could eaisly be our #3 and #4 Cb's. Kiwakee Thomas has been a solid corner his entire career which is more than we can say about Howard thus far this season. Eddie Jackson could be a decent CB in this league if given the chance. He was only in a few plays and made a very nice play on a crucial 3rd down where it looked like penalties were going to kick us in the arse. Give him his shot. Put Reggie as our 5th corner, Thomas 4th, Jackson 3rd, Daniels 2nd, and Madison 1st. Jackson and Thomas will impress if given the chance, IMO. They have been overlooked by alot of people and I would really like to see what they are capable of. We have all seen what Howard is capable of and quit frankly it makes you want to puke. They cannot possibly do any worse. Lets give these two a shot and forget about Reggie Howard.

Before this season is over, I believe both of them will see significant playing time. Jackson had a pass defensed today.

After 2 games Saban recognized the issue and benched Howard going with Daniels as the starter.

Still, Howard was the nickel and Carolina simply sat in the singleback all day attacking 25.

Nick's perceptive. Last week he knew Howard was not the 2nd starter, after this week he knows that Howard's not the nickel.

Thanks Jon Fox!

This may just be a possibility. We have a bye now, with 2 weeks for the new guys to get acclimated. Of course, they have only been here for 3 weeks, so their exposure to the defense has been limited.

That said, it's very clear that Reggie Howard is a major liability.

Hopefully the new guys are picking up the system. Nick sees them in practice and has an extra interest in db's. Hopefully they are developing.

Will Poole also sure would be a sight for sore eyes if he can come back this season.

IMO the plan all along was for Kiwaukee Thomas to learn the defense until our bye week was complete, and then enter as our nickel/dime back. Eddie has played because of his special teams ability and he has looked very good on ST.
