I just read Phunwins scathing article on Eddie Moore. It is amazing how people forget how much Coach Wannstedt and Mr. Spielman helped "our" team. Don't forget, that in that very same draft we picked perennial pro bowler Davern Williams. So when when we are critical about others we need to get our facts straight. :sidelol:

Eddie Who ???????????????

Dave was a worse disaster as a GM than he was as a coach, shocking as that is.

Rick showed promise as GM his one year. You have to believe a lot of those trades were things Dave whined for (Wayne, make Rick get me a RB because I screwed up keeping Ricky). I think a lot of you are going to be shocked at how well he does up in Minnesota.

he did well under saban during his short time here, although you have to believe that was mainly sabans doing. But speilman will have a smart coach to work with in minny, so your probably right.

I think Rick made some poor decisions aswell....Glad the whole regime is gone!

Except that those people were making those decisions are no longer with the 'Phins.

Am I mistaken about this or are you laughing about the former GM and coach making poor draft choices? Most strange indeed.

Trading up a spot to get V.Carey was pretty dumb from Rick..although Poole was good find in the 4th

Hadnot was a stone cold steal as well.

In the end, what Spielman had was one do or die year. He had to try to fix everything Dave screwed up with the OL, the QB situation, Wale, etc. in one season or else he and Dave were going to be gone. He gave it a try, but it didn't work out because there was just too much damage. I blame Wayne. I don't fault him too much, but he needed to be quicker to just dump Wanny instead of giving him one more chance.

its hard to do that though, because we were winning despite the obvious problems that were ahead of the team.

Either way I couldnt be happier with the Saban/Mueller combo.wouldnt trade it for ANY other in the league.
