I heard that the Dolphins are interested in Edge. My uncle said he heard it on the radio. After telling him how stupid that person must be and listing about 5 reasons why there is no way in hell the Phins would sign him. He tried to back himself up by saying the Phins are just driving up his price to keep him out of the AFC was also crazy, seeing how most teams keep private negotiations and most everyone knows the Phins are set at RB. Why would the Phins sign Edge when they have Ronnie and Ricky. Plus, aren't they trying to trade Ricky? Plus, Edge wants a long term high bonus deal. The Phins wouldn't be wise to have THAT much money tied up at RB when they still need a QB. Did anyone else hear this rumor? I know about 4 years ago Edge and Ricky wanted to go to Miami and we ended up with Ricky. I just see no way we end up with Edge. Any other thoughts?

I don't see it either. If it was last year I would say yes.

the only possible way we end up w/ edge is if we trade ronnie to move up in the draft and draft a qb and trade ricky to indy. but that will NEVER happen. i'd say that theres about .01% chance he ends up a dolphin. i'm not sure why the dolphins are the only team i'm hearing his name revolve around.

I don't think you can trade Ronnie, he is on his second year of a large contract. The cap penalty from the signing bonus would be pretty big.

Manning?

That's just crazy :goof:

We're absolutely stacked at that position. We have Ferrote starting and once that finger heals, I think it's pretty obvious we have a pro bowler on our hands. His back up Leo Clemon is a freakish mixture of Vince Young's size. strength, speed with Michael Vick's agillity coupled with Peyton's ability to read defenses, Montana and Brady's cool, Marino's quick release, and Carson's accuracy. And that's just our BACK UP. Our 3rd stringer is a tough battle between Sage "I like to carry the team on my back and come from behind" Rosenfels and Brock "king of the shotgun" Berlin.

Manning would barely make our practice squad. And considering his salary, it would just be stupid when we can spend that money on positions where we have weaknesses.

Yesterday on Cold Pizza, John Clayton was going through all the big FA and he said the Edge could wind up in Miami. We would certainly trade Ricky then but Edge wants a big contract and being a backup wouldn't warrant a big salary. He 's always wanted to get back to Miami so maybe he takes less to split the load w/ Ronnie and not be the primary back. Still I don't see it happening but Clayton did say it.

Any chance we get Edge AND Alexander?

That sounds just as crazy as P.Rivers being traded to the Jets for D. Abraham. Just does not make sense.

Great Post :D

Seriously though only way Edge ends up here is if Ronnie becomes a WR, which will not happen, he has the skill set but its just insane

It's a joke, humor:sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol:
I was refering to the fact that MIAMI will not get EJ.

Why don't we just put 11 RB's on the field at one time.
