Hes better than thompson..just cuz he caught the winning TD pass vs the patsies hes suddenly like untouchable for some people.

Even if that were true, Thompson may find himself on the outside looking in after the final cuts are made.

Peter Warrick was overrated in college and now sucks. Edwards, I'll pass think you much...

How was Warrick overrated in college? One of the most electric players ive ever seen in college. Thats like calling Reggie Bush overrated. He was the most important peice to a National Championship team. I'll admit he hasnt lived up to his billing in the pros but he couldnt have been much better at FSU. As for giving him a look, he's more of a luxury than a necessity so i'll pass.

The problem is still that you need a QB that can get him the ball on a regular basis.... back to the drawing board.

Yes to Warrick. Dump Thompson for him!!

Do we have room for them all even after we dump Thompson? I mean does he need replacing? Anyway, some team will be happy to get Warrick.

I just want Thompson cut. Heck we could cut him and sign a piece of cheese for all I care.

Gad, I guess that relegates me to second place on the anti-Derrius Thompson bandwagon. But please, no cheese. I despise cheese; the taste, sight, smell or even the knowledge it exists. Sign some broccoli.

I'm honestly surprised that Peter Warrick ended up getting released. I'm guessing that the main reason that Cincinnati is releasing him is because of salary because he due to make $2,280,000 this season. I felt it was unfair that he lost his starting job last year because of injury, but no doubt Houshmandzadeh did a great job replacing him and is now their starter and rightfully so. There is no doubt that Cincy has a great WR corps, I do feel that Warrick does have some value though and I'm a bit surprised they didn't trade him. I honestly wouldn't mind if we picked up Warrick if we end up releasing Thompson. No idea what his asking price would be, but if it's reasonable... I don't think that it could hurt. Maybe take that $2,280,000 and cut in half 1 or 2 times.

Are you sure that Warrick was released? I only heard that Edwards was released from the Pats. I haven't seen or heard that Warrick was also released.

I'm not sure if Warrick has been released or not. Here's a story that was put out just 3 hours ago.

And, where does he fit?

"I really don't know, man," he said, his voice dropping off. "You've got to ask them. Once they tell you, please come back and let me know."

The Bengals? They're not saying. And that's a bad sign for Warrick, who has no hope of winning a starting job and may be running out of hope to keep a roster spot.

Warrick has had more injuries cutting short his season than most. He is not worth the gamble of a roster spot.
