Edwards, the No. 3 pick in April's draft, and the Browns agreed to a five-year deal that with escalators would make the deal worth $40 million, including $18.5 million in guarantees, according to Clayton.

I don't know. 18.5 for #3 and what 24 for #1? Looks like Miami is going to have to up the ante into the 20-21 million ranges to get Brown into camp.
 
Yeah i bet he signs soon..Cause i think the only reason he aint signed yet is cause he wants 2 make more then the #3 pic......
 
what was Ronnie contract offer for does anyone know....5 years 19.5 Mil S.B. & ????mil?
 
I think 19.5 million looks right now. There is no reason to base your price off the rediculous offer Alex Smith got. At least I hope France sees it this way.

yeah me too... his guaranteed total is less than larry fitzgerald taken in the same spot last year, weird... maybe the overall contract is better though...

who cares, hopefully france and the dolphins can work into the night tonight to get this done, get ronnie in camp by tomorrow or friday...

This was discussed in a previous thread, Brown honestly doesn't deserve that type of money, good thing the NFLPA is seeking a slotted rookie salary a la the NBA. Edge, Shaun, Travis and many other veteran, proven backs can't get his numbers (22 mill he's asking for) its time for the NFL to pay on performance not potential.
 
This SHOULD move thinga along a bit. With the #1 and #3 picks signed, parameters are pretty clearly defined.
