According to ESPN, the Browns and Edwards have agreed to $18.5 in guarantees, with up to $40 million in escalators. With this, Brown won't have much leverage to up the $19.5 in guarantees the Dolphins are offering. Not sure what his escalators would be.

Interesting! Hopefully, this will get the deal in gear!

Great hopefully Brown will be signed by tommorow night

they will not budge...they will still look at what the #1 got and continue to hold out. God I really hope Im wrong, but remember the agent is a rook and he will want to show other players that he got the best money possible. These hold outs are really becoming a pain in the gluteous!!!

I say if he continues to hold out even though we're offering more than the #3 pick made we just don't sign him or trade the rights to him. Let somebody else overpay for an unproven running back.

If they try to hold out for at the half-way mark between one and two, then that's 21.25 guaranteed. I hope they don't do that though. I think they should take the 19.5, but if the escalators are not right, they may hold out for more in gauranteed money.

yea, from what i hear they are on the 'verge' of an agreement, who knows, it could still take a couple days

It's been reported that he's left Cleveland unsigned. Evidenly there are still a few sticking points.

Dang, where was it reported? I hope they are incorrect. I really would like to see these deals get done soon.
