This article mentions Edwards.. I also think a similar situation happens with Smith. There is a genuine interest.

This is how I see it playing out (in my dream world)...

We're on the clock, trying to sort a trade with the Vikings, nothing can be done, so we select Braylon Edwards... we then continue negotiations with the Vikes, and their pick comes round. They select Benson or Brown whichever is there... It then comes to the 18th pick, the Vikings are on the clock, and then the trade goes down and we are suddenly on the clock... Edwards for Brown/Benson, #18 and a 2006 first day pick.

But if they don't want to trade up now as the Vikes are saying, wht would they do that deal? I'd like it but I don't see how.
Man. was I wrong acccroding to page 1 article on the homepage here. It now looks like no trade and we take Edwards. I really didn't think we'd go for a receiver with that pick, no knock on edwards though. Maybe Saban is still messing with everyone to gain an advantage somehow.

we'll see... everyone is bullsh*ting each other.

I think the Vikings almost NEED Braylon. Everyone knows that Saban wants to trade down... it makes sense. We'll see come tomorrow.

hit-nail-on-head... this is exactly it.

It is possible that we could pick Edwards as the BPA - and then Minnesota decides to trade. But, I think Minnesota will not be that desperate for Edwards over the other WR's in the 1st round. They could have their choice of Williams or Williamson.

We arent gonna trade with the vikes. They want Braylon/Williams. 1 of those players will be available at 7. Its frustrating cause had the bears not picked up Muhammad they would have drafted WR and that would have affected the Vikes.

Not that I believe this will happen but I think the scenario which could make the Vikings trade for Edwards after we pick him is if Mike Williams gets picked before the Vikings are on the clock at #7.

That would definately turn up the heat on them.
