The edwards trade actually helps us in the short term, as there is no way edwards can get on the same page as sanchez in such a short time, there will be only a few particular patterns that they will be able to get down with any consistancy, it'll be awhile before they get a good timing down. add to that edwards' pentiant for dropping passes and it reduces their overall success rate again.

Edwards will be close enough up to speed by next week. Its not like he has to play QB.

all sanchex has to do is make sure he knows what his route/assignment is on the play. i doubt there will be too many timing routes...if he gets open he'll get thrown to. we still have cotchery on the opposite side. edwards has big play ability...he'll have to be accounted for and probably double covered alot.

why can't we offer trade for a friggin good wide reciever. Edwards is 50X better then ginn.

BILL STILL DOESN'T GET THE WR POSITION! he didn't get it with the Giants/Pats/Jets or Dallas...he just...doesn't...get it! and mark my words; after Edwards scores in the first :15:00 monday night...there's gonna be an uprising in south florida...starting with the owner! this might just be the tipping point that gets BP stubborn arse out of miami.

This is true though, we play them twice in the next couple weeks.

Its obvious he doesn't have to learn that much but timing is huge and sometimes it takes years for QB's to get that worked out with their 'favorite' targets.

He's going to score in the first 15 seconds Monday night? Dude get real....:lol2:

FYI His next TD will be his first TD ROFL!!

he may not be playen qb, but theres still vocabulary, schemes, ect... to get down, and if edwards does get open down the sideline, theres still no guarentee that sanchez wont over/under throw him, even more than once; game speed is way different than practice speed. plus theres hot routes, coverage adjustments, ball position placement preferences. I mean they may be alot closer in the 2nd game, but that alot to get close on in about 5 days, especially concidering braylon has to fly out here, stay in a hotel, and keep up with his litigation problems. theres alot more here than just playing catch guys.

Dude the jets keep mortgaging their future. It is a completely idiotic (IMO) way of going about building a team for long term success. I heard they ALREADY don't have a 3rd or 4th rounder next draft. After this deal, they may not have ANY draft picks.
Of course after the Gholston pick, maybe they decide to get away from the draft rebuilding scenario.

I find it funny on your sig it say "keep the faith" and this response you put into this thread doesn't seem to have one bit of faith in it. BP just does not like diva WR's, which Edwards is becoming.

Player Rec Yds Avg Lng TD
Edwards: 10 139 13.9 24 0
Ted Ginn: 11 108 9.8 21 0

I think People are a bit to enamored with Edwards. Other than his "1" good season he really hasn't done all that much. He's very inconsistent. And if you think Ted (Butter finger) Ginn drops a lot of balls this guy is worse. Please don't give me the lack of QB argument for Edwards cause that's the same exact thing ginn has to deal with. Both of them have had issues albeit different issues at that position.

Do I think Ginn is as good a reciever? No. Do I think Edwards is the answer we are looking for? No.

as to the j**s mortgaging their future...we all said the same thing 10yrs ago when the Pats did it...and they're still an elite team! face it, the NFL is like Monopoly...if you've got players then there'll always be a way to aquire draft picks or trades, waiver pickups and undrafted fa's...it's the "Belichickian" theory of relativity; proven to work! maybe we (Dolphins) should try it.

yo RockyMtn: brother, there's faith and there's foolhardy...faith for the team, in spite of the foolhardy approach of the front office.
