Which one do you take if have to pick. Eiland and his sub 4.5 or Richard, who has more experience? Or neither. Do you pick up someone from another team. I would actually take these guys over Edwards.

I haven't got to watch all of the preseaon games, so i can't give you a real view on it. But i do know that Edwards has been terrible. I think that Richard will get the 4th CB spot, since he has experience and he can play safety.

Eiland, Richard has been beat multiple times for touchdowns....

I know Richard didn't get deep help on one of the tds

There is always more than meets the eye of some of those tds. Bua was supposed to give deep help on the first td Richard gave up. Eiland was beat on a fluke td catch in Jacksonville that was tipped from one receiver to another (the catch was a great catch too). I have seen good things from both. Both appear to hustle well. Eiland and Richard appear to give good run support and can cover short passes pretty well. They will not be playing the old man to man stuff Miami has played in the past.

Kris Richard was one of my more intense scouting prospects since the preseason has begun. I've been very impressed with him and I disagree with the comment about him being beat on touchdowns. There was one touchdown where he wasn't even covering that man, Bua was beaten and Richard trailed on to the man as the play was finishing. Richard has tackled better than any other CB on our team this pre season, IMO. Eiland has been beaten numerous times, has misread routes, has made poor tackles, has exhausted his talent. I'd pick Richard over both Edwards and Eiland.

ive hear eiland can play CB and S, so right there thats big being able to hold 2 roster spots so id take him...

cheers... tht was my exact reasoning for choosing eiland.. :)

people dont seem to understand how important an extra roster spot is... its like the sammy morris thing, people are saying trade him for a 7th round pick, when he holds to roster spots in one body, thats huge especially for a team that wants to develop some young guys (like alibi on the OL, or vickerson and wright at DT) so we need some extra roster spots to keep these guys on...
