Ross/Ireland-

Y'all have to make a decision if you want Tannehill for the long haul, or Sherman. That's really what it boils down to. RT has been incredibly durable, but that won't hold out another season. Sherman's complete lack of innovation, flexibility, and adjusting-on-the-fly has led to RT being CONSTANTLY put in harm's way.

If Sherman is OC next year, RT won't be finishing up the season..... Make a choice.

Is there even the slightest possibility that Sherman limits his play calling BECAUSE HE DOESN'T HAVE A ****ING OL? Or, is that too complicated?

Give him and Tannehill an OL for year, then let's talk. Until then, I blame nobody but Ireland for providing nothing but 3rd stringers for an OL.

Dr. Phin- help me understand this. If you have an awful OL that cannot hold a pocket, and you have an athletic QB who throws as good or better on the run, why would calling drop back passes be the smart thing to do?

Would you not run MORE play action? MORE screen passes? MORE draw plays? Teams are teeing off on our QB- yes, we all understand the OL is a huge problem, but isn't that MORE of a reason to try and vary the offensive attack to compensate?

Wouldn't the fact that your OL can't protect the QB lead you to try more things to keep a D off balance rather that just keep dropping back? He should at least make the opposing DC earn their pay.

Oh, and Dobras, yes I'm pretty sure we know which of the two needs to stay. That was rhetoric, to say it's either lose Sherman or lose your franchise QB.

In order for play action to work...you have to have a running game to start with. We don't...
When is the last effective screen you have seen with this team? The OL is too slow to get out in front of the RB for screens.
I will give you draws...

There is so little you can do with this line it is ridiculous.

The line is not only bad, its we have helped give up 60 sacks bad.

It seems like every year we are blaming the OC. There has to be something else.

letting go of Tannehill is the equivalent of releasing manning or brady. Don't be an idiot.

Sherman=Henning, get rid of him. Get some young innovative talent, look at the offense in Philly under Chip Kelly, very creative and it has flow. Tannehill has more of a skill set than Foles, especially his ability to move, but Sherman is dead set on leaving him in the pocket to get killed week after week. Sherman is a Dinosaur, there is a reason Greenbay got rid of him. It is time for us to move on from him, we finally have a QB with some talent and we are going to let him turn into David Carr getting beat like this every game. The kid is tough as nails, but eventually he will get gun shy, so i say good bye Mike Sherman....your a fossil.

part of the problem here is he is working with youngsters.....egnew, sims, Brenner,

and then depending LT on old vets Mckinney, Clabo,

and then having to deal with Incog, Martin

and then realizing that he may want to retire and let a young one take this on from this point who will have bigger balls to put the young ones out there for bigger plays.

but losing Keller and Gibson.......killer.

Gibson will be back. Dont lose sight of that. Got to get a good LT in FA IMO who can start day one. Draft everything else.

Two things:

1. I agree with Dr. Phin that he is limited by personnel.

2. I think it's actually Joe Philbin who doesn't want to run the ball. Sherman has talked about this before. He wants to establish a power running game, and Joe doesn't want him to run if it's 'not productive.'

Im almost thinking it wont be the worst thing to miss the playoffs if we can just get to the offseason with a healthy tannehill. Playoff could be brutal.

I just realized that Tannehill had to put up zero points to balance the accidental 34 against Pittsburgh
