Ok guys, I'm sick and tired of all these threads regarding the QB situation.
So, let's clear our minds and get to the bottom line:
Regardless of which QB starts the season, we will have a bad offense.

Any games we win will most likely be because of the Defense which itself isn't what it use to be.
Frerotte is chewing gum, a temporary (1 yr) solution to a bigger problem.
Feeley just isn't the answer. It is time to acknowledge that. He has regressed in the time we've seen him this preseason compared to last season where he showed minor glimpses of hope. Now, there is NO hope.
Can we blame the O-line? Sure, but we blamed them last year too. We blamed coaching too in tony wise. They are supposed to be markedly better this year but so far i've only seen a lil progression.

With a few more drafts and free agency periods Saban will turn this around. I truly believe that. But this season I just see it as a long experiment to weed out the trash (Feeley, Frerotte whitley, Derrius etc.)

If you're sick and tired of all the threads about the QB situation, why start a thread about the QB situation?

The o-line was and can be a major factor. If the QB doesn't have time to throw, he won't be successful. Doesn't matter which one plays. If they don't run block and teams can bring in an extra DB, does that not have an effect on the QB?

I started it to get to the bottom line. Which again is that regardless of the qb we won't be succesful on offense. You're right, the O-line is a big part of the puzzle; huge to be honest. But, that's why we brought in Houck.

I agree about the experiment part... but just not ready to throw out names just yet...

How do you know that "many others" are sick of it? Have they secretly asked you to speak for them? Or do you have super powers?

AJ hasnt regressed. He's actually progressed just not enough. He's starting to look off his receivers. He's developed touch on his passes and he's taking what the defense gives him and not taking unnecessary chances. The problem is the offensive line has regressed which has caused both QBs to either throw short dump offs or throw incompletions when they rush their deeper throws. We need the center position and right tackle position to solidify or neither QB is going to do anything

Guys...our offense just isn't very good.

So I guess I should just look at this as another 16 game preseason :shakeno: ? I am not as optimistic as I was in the beginning of this season. Can we really blame all of this on Ricky? If it si going to take at least 2 years to get back to where we were it makes me wonder what the hell happened. How do we go from a playoff contender to bottom of the barrel in ONE season :fire: ???? We lost our running back and the the whole team fell apart like a house of cards. Was the O-line that bad the year before? How did we manage 10 wins??? did we lose THAT many people??? It's like the whole psyche of the team crumbled. Hell Ricky is one person and backs are a dime a dozen (although not of his calibur). This is nothing about Ricky, I just cannot nuderstand the collapse of this franchise in ONE SEASON!!! I am at a loss for words here. Guys help me out. What the F@%K is going on???? I think maybe I missed something somewhere. If it's the O-line then Rickys leaving had nothing to do with our downfall. It just may have expadited it a little (sorry no spell check)
