Manuel looks pretty solid. Quick release, accurate, good pocket awareness.

I presume they'll be running that screen a lot again this week.

It's good to hear the Bills won't moving to Canada but that doesn't mean EJ shouldn't still have his bags packed.

Wow, they ran tons of screens and passes to the Backs. I can see a repeat this week and force our young LBs to tackle and be discipline. Once Chicago started pressuring him he started to make some bad throws. They were up 17-7 when Chicago started getting to him. But I hope he doesn't think he's going to have all day doing those screens from the pocket this week or he's going to get hit in the mouth. He will have to drop more this week. Also we will have to watch his ability to escape. Had some smart runs last week but had all day to make those decisions. If we can make him decide faster I don't think it will be as easy. When he had to move his feet, he was terribly inaccurate.

I saw a QB who ran their game plan to perfection...But that game plan was to throw screen after screen and run if pressured. I saw zero from the Bears defense. Let's see what he can do when our d-line is chasing him all over the field.

I agree, if the dline can put pressure on Manual he will throw some horrible passes. I expect at least 2 picks from our defense. Also, that bears defense isn't the Lovie Smith defense of past, it's become a shell of it's former self.

That offense also didn't look very complicated to me. It didn't stretch the field one bit and when they tried the passes were very sketchy. The OC was consistently calling screen passes and shorter passes to the WR's and RB's in the flat. It was the type of play calling that looks to hide a QB's weaknesses vs exploiting the defense.

Looks like their right tackle was struggling in the second half. Our DEs might feast.

How is Miami at containing QB's?

I would like to see some cover 2 to help the linebackers stay in the box a little more often. Let the DBs deal with the passes in the flat. Also as much as I hate our 3 man rush I think it might work if you can force him to throw from the pocket and eliminate his scramble to what looks like the non throwing side. If we can control the run game and limit throws to the big side flat we should be ok.

Good grief the Bears DE's were over running the qb, taking themselves out of EVERY play. The only pressure they were able to muster were on blitzes.

I see one thing that Buffalo did with the passing game that the Pats didn't do, the Pats live off the medium passing plays, 5 to 12 yards. Buffalo seemed perfectly content to nullify Chicago's pass rush by dumping the ball off in the flats or on a screens for 2 or 3 yards at a time with the hope that it breaks for more. Also E.J. has ten times the scramble ability of Tom Brady, which helps to elude the pass rush.

It's going to be an interesting game.

I saw them run the same play several times. Not much diversity in the route trees. EJ Manuel with throw at least a few ducks per game. I think Coyle should be able to defend the WRs well enough, but its the short underneath stuff I'd be worried about.
