Good evening to all! To some you will remember me, to others I am just another member. Just beer for thought. If you have a negative about this team, which is fine, please bring a solution in your thoughts to the team's current problem. This will encourage great debate and insight between brothers and sisters here at the site. Remember treat others with the same respect and dignity that you would want to be treated with. It is okay to agree, and disagree.

Thanks and have a great weekend!

John

This makes too much sense, and will never happen here. Nice idea though.

I disagree jtoomuch. I have seen it happen here. I think we see the majority get unfairly labeled because a vocal minority gets the attention. Of the thousands that come here, most by far are respectful and good fans and great members of this site. But when a team is as bad as we are, for as long as we have been bad, fans are just frustrated. That's what is behind the negative comments you see here. And its not exclusive to FinHeaven. You see it on all fan sites, hear it on the local Miami radio talk shows, on the Miami Herald and Sun Sentinel web sites...its just a very unhappy fan base. And that is what we represent here. We are the voice of the fan, all fans. So when they are hurting it shows on FinHeaven. I thank FFiC for appealing to everyone to remember it is just a game, and in the game of life we need to treat everyone with respect and courtesy even if they have a different point of view than our own. Hopefully we get a W this week and there can be a nice week of feel good.

IMO, the problem is the people running this show don't listen to anyone but themselves, despite ample evidence that they aren't as good at this NFL thing as they think they are. So how do you fix that? Replace them.

I wish it was that quick & easy.

I don't think Ross wants to pay salaries for anyone else who isn't actively working for him, so it's going to have to get a lot worse to see a change before January. For me, I want a win and I want the top pick in the draft as compensation for having to watch what they've done to our team.

OK, your point is well taken. Perhaps I am reacting to a vocal minority. I have been on here a fairly long time and I am sometimes dismayed to see things being unfriendly and confrontational. I certainly share the frustration regarding things. I have read many thoughtful, well reasoned posts on here. Unfortunately, there are some who perhaps have no opportunity to be assertive in their daily lives, and come here and act like jerks. I am of course hoping for a win as well, even if that might get the SFL brigade up in arms.

You can't get on fans for being negative because this organization has forced a pretty crappy brand of football on us for the last decade. The very simple solution which most of us understand is to get an elite QB as in todays NFL you simply have trouble winning without one. It is frustrating to know that the Dolphins organization has failed so miserably to replace the legend that was Dan Marino. You look around at teams like Green Bay who lose a legend and replace him with what is likely to be a better one in Rodgers. You look at our division rivals in NE and watch Brady and Bellechick tie Marino and Shula's record or 116 wins with about 1/2 the loses and you get frustrated that this organization has NOT gotten in done. They passed on Drew Brees twice for christs sake! This was a top organization in the 70's and 80's and early 90's. We have fallen very far!

Bro with out any doubt we have fallen very far. My point is who do you think would be good replacement at coach and GM to help start the rebuilding process. I agree we have been down for too long. I have and will continue to say we need a coach like Bill Cowher in here.

You can simply ignore them on your own, use the ignore feature. If it gets too personal then report it and let the staff take it from there, and take the high road.

Bro it starts with you and I. If we see posts that are just going for reaction and are not well thought out, just ignore them and they will fall to the bottom of the page. You can also give negative rep as well.

I'm tilting towards Gruden between the two of them. I think Cowher has his sights on a different job if he comes back, and I don't want to be his second choice. Gruden seems hungrier to me. People are still saying he won his SB with Dungy's team, which is fine because Dungy built a great defense, but Dungy couldn't get them over the hump... and JG was playing against the team he built. I like his experience with the Eagles, Raiders (Al Davis), Bucs, and the film work he's put in for his program on QBs. He's young enough that the players could relate to him, but successful enough to command their respect.

He may not be my favorite choice by January, but he's in the lead for me at the present time. If Ross tries to force Ireland on him, he should walk away...

Here is one solution to a ****y 0-4 start.

Punch the Jets right in the mouth and put them in a 2-4 hole and remind them and everybody else that there are 4 teams in the AFC East.

Great post, but I have heard a select few members have been banned from stating their honest opinions. (not sure if its true or not)

In my opinion, this team has a lot of problems, primarily in the front office, which includes the coaching staff and up to the owner.

I am not in agreement that Stephen Ross got celebrities to become part owners, and I feel this is part of the reason why this team is failing, miserably.

My preference at this time is to have Gruden come in, because I do get the feeling that Cowher's preference would be the Giants. I just have a hardtime picturing Cowher in the Aqua and Orange. As far as GM I literally have no idea of the guys that are out there for hire, but I don't want to see Ireland in there because he doesn't seem to be able to evaluate game changers, talent guys which is what we need.

I like Gruden, but my concern is what I have heard players that played for him had to say about him. I like Cowher because what discipline he brings to a team, along with a winning past that we so much need to restore in Miami. I still hear players to this day say that they have the utmost respect for him.
