I never bought the hype regarding Eli Manning...I think he largely got by on the coatails of his daddy and older brother. They showed Archie Manning watching his son with a glum look on his face. I didn't realize Archie never played in a playoff game and never was on a winning team in 14 seasons. I think the NY Giants mortgaged their future by dealing with the Chargers to get Eli...Little Manning just is not very good.

Eli Manning is going to be fantastic. He's shown flashes of brilliance throughout the year, peppered with inconsistency of course. But most young quarterbacks struggle early. John Elway was mediocre and inconsistent his first few years as well.

You are jumping the guy on Eli way too early...typical. It used to be a QB got 3 years or so to develop. Now everybody expects immediate results.

Eli's development is right on track.

He led his team to an NFC East crown. :shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno:

The guy has less than 30 starts and has TD pass in almost all of them. You cannot be serious with this post!:shakeno: :shakeno:

its not that hes jumping on eli to early, cause even this early Eli has been great, with a couple bad games.

3700 yards 24 TDs 17 INTs, leading his team to the playoffs, in his 2nd year in the league

jumping on him at all is rediculous.

Well he has his faults too so far, and he has been inconsistent, and has been known to overthrow receivers at times. That's what I was mostly referring to.

But Eli has shown some special things this year as well, things that tell me he's going to probably be one of, if not the, premiere QB of the NFC for years to come, eventually. That comeback victory earlier in the season against the Broncos was awe inspiring. One of my favorite football moments this year.

Check out the "GOD" Peyton's numbers in his first 2 years.....you won't find a playoff birth in there.
