Thanks. I'll certainly be voicing this concern thru a multitude of avenues. 1) phone call. 2) e-mail. 3) personal letter.

Phone: (305) 943-8000
E-mail: finclub@dolphins.com.
Address: Miami Dolphins, Sun Life Stadium, 347 Don Shula Drive, Miami Gardens, Fla., 33056.

Emails are easy to send, so I Challenge EVERY DOLFAN to email (if not the other two as well) the organization for DARING to sit us down at OUR OWN HOME GAME!!! Against the Patriots even. Security walked around asking people to sit?!?!?!?! I've already emailed quite the rant to them and I expect every one else to do the same.

By Next Home game I want them to second guess ever telling us to be quiet again!!

Btw, thank you Sons of Shula for easily providing the contact info.

Wow. Just wow. I thought I was alone at the time of my rant. Sucks this is a real thing.

I never heard of this.

It was happening Sunday. I had posted an article earlier last week making fun of the new rules in place at Ohio State games suggesting fans text security with inappropriate stadium behaviors which included standing up. http://www.finheaven.com/showthread...ns-can-text-to-report-other-fans-for-standing

JCane prompted me by stating these kind of rules had been in effect for "Joe Robbie" stadium as well.

Stadium Code of Conduct

Interfering with others' enjoyment of the game
Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures
Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption
Fighting, taunting, or threatening remarks or gestures
Sitting in a location other than your ticketed seat
Displays of affection inappropriate in a public setting
Obscene or indecent messages or signs or clothing
Any disruption to the progress of the event by the Guest's actions
Failing to follow the instructions of Stadium Personnel or Law Enforcement
Smoking in the seating bowl, concourse, or other non-designated areas
Standing for extended periods of time

Who knew. I certainly didn't. Never bothered looking over the Codes of Conduct because frankly I'm respectful, not an asshole and have never had social issues of the sort. :idk:

^ well they have a paradox, telling me to sit down while cheering for my team interferes with "enjoyment of the game." Thus rendering that stupid rule ineffective.

I can't even imagine such an asinine rule in place for European soccer fans. It's pretty disgraceful.

As I said in another thread, I understand the frustration from fans who paid money to see the game but can't see anything because bigger people are standing in front of them. However, I also know that there's a chance this is going to happen and if it really bothers me that much I would stay at home and watch the game on TV. There are things that go on at a game that you should be well aware of before hand and should have already considered before buying a ticket.

I can agree that train of thought. I'm a good couple of inches taller than 6' and my brother is taller than I am, and being respectful to those around you must play into the factor of standing and sitting. But you hit the nail on the head of having the understanding in attending a football game, of all things, will have people standing and cheering. There are many scenarios where this plays out as well. Can't imagine everyone sitting, legs crossed for concert pit tickets for the sake of being studious.

This makes as much sense as when Ross wanted to move our sept games away from 1pm... clueless at times... Ross normally gets it right eventually so I assume this will resolve itself.

Standing the entire game is one thing but standing on important 2nd and 3rd defensive downs or when we get close to the end zone should be mandatory. I've taken my son many times when he was young and I either held him or he stood on the seat, not that big of a deal and to others who just want to sit then a football game is probably not the best event to attend or buy some club seats. I doubt the Dolphins will disagree with the people venting about not being able to stand. Common sense should rule in this situation.

There was almost a fight in my section because a guy kept yelling at another guy to sit down. This is the first time in my 5 years as a season ticket holder I have seen anything like this.

I got into an altercation with a fellow fin fan at the dismal Bears game a few years ago while we were shut out. The fins were punting and I got up to walk to the concession stand, and this dude was like sit the F down. I was like I know you aren't talking to me like that, and the dude threw a damn beer at me. If I wasn't with my little brother it probably would have ended in a fight, but I was the bigger man and just shrugged it off. Looking back at it, it could have been because he was pissy about the way the game was going, idk, but it was a d bag move on his part nonetheless. I honestly find the upper levels at fins and heat games to be more enjoyable because you tend to get real fans up there.

Can't say I disagree or agree with this push. While I understand that fans want to stand and cheer for their team or stand up and yell on big downs/plays, I do think it's rediculous for someone to stand the whole game. Now with that said, there's been a few examples stated above where it completely makes sense and there's no way any fan or member of the staff should yell at anyone for standing up during big plays, important downs, getting up to go to the bathroom/concession stand, etc. If people on both sides of the issue just used some common sense, then this isn't an issue. It's bad enough when you are at an opposing stadium and people get mad at you for cheering your own team, but that shouldn't happen at your own stadium.
