Wide receiver Chris Chambers made his first public comments Saturday about his arrest in North Carolina two weeks ago on charges of driving while impaired, reckless driving and speeding.
According to police, Chambers was pulled over at 2:31 a.m. July 14 after Charlotte-Mecklenburg police clocked him driving 74 mph in a 45-mph zone. Chambers then could not perform a series of field-sobriety tests and refused an on-site Breathalyzer test, but blew a level of 0.06 - below the legal limit of 0.08 - after he was taken to jail.

"Of course it's a little embarrassing to myself and my family," Chambers said after the team's first training-camp practice. "But I can learn from it, and you have to move on. I'll make it into a positive."
