Not only that, but we were running the ball somewhat effectively and it's entirely possibly we would have scored a touchdown there.

I would have liked to see a read option play during that series. If it works we score, and if not, Ryan just slides to keep the clock running.

We were in basically the same spot Michigan State was in last night (but closer to the goal line)

All an incompletion does there is give them MORE TIME TO ANSWER. RUN, bleed clock, + yardage, hope for a breakaway TD or kick the FG to make them go all the way.
