Well, this is the place to rant so I will. I am on the ledge, as a lifetime Fins fan I snapped finally today when Wake is now planning on holding out. I want to hear ANY positive comments from other Dolphins fans about our disgraceful, pathetic, Cleveland Browns South Organization. We receive NOTHING but negative, crap press. When is the last time ANYONE in the media said we have done anything right? Thanks for listening, I can put down the Drano....
 
Sometimes it is healthy to take time away from interests, even if we are very attached to them.  It's just football, and if you feel the Phins aren't worth your attention, money, or time, you shouldn't give it to them.
 
wake "disappeared" last year because in the nfl, you cant have just ONE pass rusher and thanks to our crack staff, thats what we had, wake and NO ONE else who could get to the qb.

his agent is SMART! they know how important he is going to be this year, that they HAVE to get a rush mate for him and a lengthy holdout will put a major dent in their plan for the season.

who knows what the finz brass want to do regarding wake, probably try and low ball him as much as possible and his agent is heading that off at the pass before they can get their plan together.

draft a rookie and then have him as the only pass rusher? that is a nightmare scenario for the finz and his agent knows it. depending on the AGENTS demand, i doubt this goes to far into camp.

The media generally hates the Fins, so don't get too worried about anything you hear from them.

Getting new deals done takes time. I think up to this point, Ireland has focused on bringing in new guys. Now that our big FA moves are behind us, he can start to focus on the guys we have. I am confident that Wake will be extended. He is obviously very valuable to this team. It's not like the Chargers with Marcus McNeil where they can just stick in another o-lineman.

Relax. We all want him to be paid, all fans want their best players signed to long term deals.

With the perception of the F.O as it is, a small whiff at something negative and all fans want to do is jump all over Ireland and call him every name under the sun.

Wake will be taken care of after the draft is over and our picks are signed. I'm not very familiar with our current cap situation but from what I understand we haven't got a lot of room to work with as of now.

Ugh, tough one, but: Joe Philbin has created an excellent coaching staff. Having a former mentor, who wont overstep because of how much respect he has for Philbin, with head coaching experience will help immensely and Coyle was a very sought after defensive coach who was never hired before because the Bengals refused to let him go.

If we can get even a decent Gm, the coaching staff has the potential to be very good.
 
Step back from the ledge my friend.... You have to remember when things go bad the media tends to pile on. Right now, we are an easy target unfortunately. Hold outs are just a part of the game, hopefully Wake will be back with a fair contract and we will also draft someone to take a little bit of the pressure of off him.
 
I'm pretty sure the FO knows Wake has outperformed his current contract. Just 2 weeks ago it was said that the Dolphins were looking at contracts of a few players and hoping to get some deals done. By re-doing Wakes and Long's we would have more cap room to sign Rookies and FAs after the draft. I'm hoping we'll sign at least one more FA........Jake Scott.

oh where to start with this one...

1. step of the ledge.
2. stop caring about what the media says about us, as long as we suck, they will always trash us.
3. Wake will be signed and sealed by training camp, this is just both sides playing hard ball, look at the situation in new orleans, drew brees and saints are still far apart but when the deadlines nears they will get a deal done. Both sides will wait til the last second to find a middle ground on the number.
4.Wake also wasnt very good last year, he didnt do much to even warrant a new contract so he has to be fair in his demands.
5. We have more important things to focus on right now, like the draft for one, thats all i expect ireland to be focusing on right now. Have someone in the front office handle wake.
6.Our organization is not pathetic,disgraceful, or any of that, our performance the last few years has been that yes but we are a respected franchise in the history of the nfl. 72 undefeated dolphins says it all, this franchise went threw ownership changes last few years and when that happens the franchise will struggle for a bit. Now stephen ross our new owner has made his first hire as a head coach and things are looking positive now, we have a bright head coach leading the way now, have some faith.
 
Players hold out every year! Why does this have to be a black eye on the organization? A deal will get done in due time. Relax!
 
I guess I cant believe (weather the media sucks or not) We are constantly getting bashed. We honestly have done nothing correct or on one hell of a bad luck train. Either way its been quite a nasty couple of years for all of us. Sooner or later we need to catch a break or do something smart.
