what about this unproven coaching staff, is excellent?

i hope the succeed, but I have no idea how one can come to the conclusion that we have an excellent staff...

This really isn't all that suprising. I'll believe he's a hold out & we're not gonna extend him when training camp rolls around and he doesn't have a new contract.

We simply can't afford to lose our only real rush threat. Even Ireland isn't that stupid.
 
Im thinking that Wake will get a nice contract after Jake's is done.

OK, so he got some sacks and had a pretty good year last year, when he wasn't taking off on some plays, but most of us cannot go to our boss and demand more money....you either get laughed at or get the axe. I am tired of these crybaby athletes holding out. If you don't want to be a Phin Cameron go back to play in Canada. No player is bigger than the team.
 
ok, if Soliai is getting 5 to 6 millions a year at least Wake should be getting a good deal right?. If you ask me Wake is more of a game changer than Soliai in my opinion!
But as much as I like him, he did not play like the year before, last year Wake was not as dominating as 2010, he can be double teamed, not sure but i don't see Miami signing him for big long term he just turn 30. Now if Wake makes the decision to sits out the season, the Dolphins retain his rights for 2013 and then I could really see a trade after this season.
I heard that he is looking for $12M to $15M a year for 5 or 6 years with probably $40M guaranteed, i see him getting a 1 year deal thats all.
 
I'd really like to know where the hell all the money is going in our roster. We have one legitimate All-Pro (Long) on this team and Jeff Ireland & Co. have this team in the financial shape of a pauper.

Move away from the ledge...we're in April.
 
Trade him to cleveland for their 21st pick and draft two DE/OLB's. Dont be surprised if it happens. Wake is better than anything projected at 21 and experienced. We cant afford him unless Jake extends and Dansby restructures.
 
KEy point. Long will have to extend and Dansby to restructure before Wake gets paid. Phins need to retain their best players and not let them go like WES WELKER.

This man has 32 sacks in the last 3 years and without him we would have no sacks at all. They have till July to make it happen. He can hold out all the way into the 10th week of the season for his year to count. They cant franchise both LONG and WAKE next year. if they dont do something by July things will start to look UGLY again.
 
If any player holding out on the first day of voluntary mini camp sends you over the edge, you need to switch to decaf. Relax.
 
I hate how people come to Finheaven to 'rant'. This is a place to talk football, not b*tch and complain.

If you want a shoulder to cry on, hire a shrink or get married. Otherwise, leave your Dolphins fan card at the door and don't let the door hit you in the *ss on the way out.

That all said, this whole Cameron Wake holdout was inevitable. The Dolphins hold a lot of leverage with this situation though.
 
Man, the Saints fans must be really losing it. Their GM is gonna be banned and their 'franchise' QB won't sign his franchise tag contract.
