I know he's a sound coordinator but philosophically will he STRETCH the field like Linehan?

After getting a taste of EXPLOSIVE plays this year, I don't want regression in that department.

Anyone have proof for/against this line of thinking?

Mularkey loves the running game as evident about the Steelers having the #1 rushing offense in the league 2 out of the 3 seasons he was their O.C. But he also aggressive with the downfield stuff. The Steelers were top 5 in the NFL twice with him.

Nothing could be further from the truth. 8 / 11 / 13 / 16??? What is that? Attempts willis had in individual games (losses.) He's impatient. The run doesn't hit in the first couple attempts, he abandons it. I mean, 8 attempts in a game? That's ridiculous.

everyone liked linehan, but he was an exstension of sabans arm, which im sure mularky will be also.

hey Barfalo Bill fan, How many rushes did we have 2 years ago when we really sucked and were always playing from behind, vs how many we had this year? When your team sucks, like the Bills did this season, you don't rush the ball as much. :shakeno: When you team is better (see 2 years ago), you rush the ball more. I can't imagine many Bills fans were complaining two years ago when Willis was one of the elite RB's in the 2nd half of that season. Bills fans are so myopic sometimes.

Last year, Mularkey's offense in Buffalo passed 52% of the time, which seems like a pretty balanced figure, especially for a team with a losing record.

What I dont understand at all though is the argument that Mularkey being pass happy is going to make the dolphins worse. Whilst Buffalo were passing 52% of the time, we passed 56% of the time. So however pass happy you believe Mularkey to be, facts are his replacing of Linehan is likely to increase the number of running plays for the Dolphins next year.

Oh and something Mularkey accomplished his first year with the Bills that I havent seen mentioned. As the Bills finished out that season strong to finish 9-7, they put together a six game stetch of offensive production that was...

The best six game stretch of offensive production in the history of the bills franchise.

LMAO! So you're telling me that I made these Rankings up? Go look it up for yourself. You say WILLIS? Willis is with Buffalo. I'm talking about when Mularkey was an offensive coordinator with Pittsburgh. His offenses were top 5 two out of the three season he was there and they lead the league in rushing TWICE. Get your stuff straight before you argue or the ground your trying to stand on might crumble. Nothing in my post had ANYTHING to do with your Bills.

People really like the hiring. I was listening to Joe Rose this morning and he had Jason Cole on. THey were both in agreeance that this may actually be a slight UPGRADE from Linehan. They Were praising Mularky to be an excellent move. As well as Dom Capers. I hope Mularky keeps us dangerous.
