I've read all the negative stuff all day long and I'm tired of it.

First off - If theses were the 2007 Dolphins the score would have been 40-3 with Favre having 2 TD's and about 250 yards rushing between Washington and Jones.

Secondly- We put the Jets in opportune situations to score with young mistakes. (Pass interferance, shanked punts and kick-off's, ruffing the passer, poor tackles) You can't give a QB like Brett any breaks like those cause he's going to make you pay and that's what happened.

I've also read that they didn't have a Pass Rush. Are you kidding? They pressured Brett all day long. I mean how many times did you see Brett throw that "fade away jumper" pass to avoid the rush. I'm sorry but that is a veteran move that not many QB's can pull off. He's lucky that he wasn't sacked more than 3 times. What did Jason Taylor do last year for us?

Ginn- Ok. If you were the Jets and looked at our offensive line up, what would you think and do? I'll tell you what I would do. I would stack the box and double the only outside threat the other team had and make them beat us with a weaker , small WR with dink and dunk passes. That's what the Jets did. They took away our stength and challenged us.

Line play - I thought they did great. Considering how many combinations of linemen we've had over the past three years. Here we are with a second year center, a rookie RG and LT, a Free agent LG and a switched over RT. I mean come on!! Give them time to gell. Even with all that the gave good enough pass protection and run blocked as many guys as they could to stay in the game. 5 OL on 9 D is tough when you tiring to run the ball.

Lastly - With all that...We still came one play away from beating one of the most hyped and talent infused teams in the league. Think about what will happen next time we meet.

I agree with all these points, especailly the o-line. I remember watching the game often thinking to myself Penny had time to throw the ball. The run blocking, not so much.

Well my friend, get used to it. How can you not expect negative posts? It's not like there were a whole lot of positives coming from that game.

To come here, of all places and expect the passionate people of Finheaven to have a love in with losing is expecting a little much.

Yes we beat ourselves. I see some positives for sure, but it doesn't mean it feels any better.

No but it feels better knowing we played like shi* and still were one good pass away from winning.

Bingo!!!, we don't let up that 4th and 13 and we win that game. Look at it this way that touchdown was just a fluke, that 90% of the time ends up and int or an incompletion, it just happend that the 10% happened to us yesterday with a crazy throw and catch just like the Tyree catch in the super bowl. The other one our Secondary bit too hard on the Play action, the coaches will address that in the film room.

You guys are forgetting 1 major part of this game. The Jets had a kicker for one quarter. You guys had great field position for 75% of the game.

You played tough and allmost won the game. You made tons of silly mistakes and allmost won the game. You did put alot of pressure on #4 thats for sure.I thought Penny had a pretty solid game all in all so that is a big plus for you.

Our D has made huge upgrades which showed by the 49 yds rushing and 4 sacks plus pressuring CP all day.I dont think you beat yourselves.I think the Jets damn near let one get away. But I am kind of biased.

Lets give credit where credit is due. Both teams played sloppy at times and very good at times too.All in all not a bad performance by either team especially being opening day.

You usually do beat your self when you make mistakes. Let sget on to Aizona thats a game I think we should win. Should win not "will" win. Arizona will tell us alot about this team. Coaching and other wise. Can we learn from our mistakes and get better!

Where the Fins are coming from I was impressed they kept the game close.
Even my wife thought they made the game interesting.

Anytime you have that many mental mistakes, and dont put the ball in your best players hands as much as you can (Ronnie/Ricky) then you pretty much beat yourself.

Ya but if your kicker hadnt been hurt that prayer of a touchdown Farve threw up for grabs wouldnt have happened, and you would have had to settle for a try at 3.

Also it's not like our kicking game was amazing, they might as well have been hurt the way they were kicking. So the Jets had great field position all game too and just snuck it out.

If we beat ourselves shouldn't we be 1-1.

I like how a new thread is made about stuff you find in other threads. It's soo cool.
