These threads of "so and so just got cut, we should sign him" threads have got to stop. It doesnt matter who the player is, or how old he is, or how good or bad he is, there is always a we should sign this guy thread. Its ridiculous. I know they are set up for discussion purposes, but this is just ridiculous. For Christ sake already, just wait and see if any signings happen. If they do, then start a thread for it and discuss it. We dont need one of these thread for EVERY SINGLE PLAYER. :shakeno:

I concur..

you know what needs to stop? the "we need to stop the threads that want to sign anyone that gets cut" threads.

They are just as bad.

I'm tired of reading the "guess who got cut threads we should sign them" also. There isn't even logic in many of these threads.

Whats wrong with discussing these things in a REALLY quiet time of year for news? Koren Robinson actually would be a fit on this team.

Now, its one thing if it makes sense/if the guy is cut, but I do agree when it comes to the Roy Williams threads or the JT for Marvin Harrison threads.

He would?

Wasn't it Parcells who stated he didn't one anybody with character issues on the team. Let alone substance abuse issues.

Robinson is a very mediocre WR, i wouldn't want to slow the development of Ginn in the passing game or the returning game by bringing Robinson on the team.

Well that whole statement went out the window when it became apparent that they were keeping Ricky Williams. I think what Parcells meant to say was....... "We don't want anybody with character issues UNLESS they have a chance to be very productive on the field for us"

Yes, but I think it was Ireland who said that they would 'do their homework' on guys and make their own evaluations. Numerous UDFAs (Lymon, for example) have had issues, and yet we still signed them.

In no way would Robinson slow the development of Ginn. How exactly do you figure that one? Sure, he is not going to set the world on fire, but as I said, he will COMPETE (big word for Parcells and co.) with the Camarillos and Perrys and Bess of the world. Nothing wrong with that. And as I said, it seems to me the new regime is purposely trying to find a guy to replace Teddy on KRs, to allow him to focus on refining his skills as a wideout.

Exactly. Talk about it when it actually happens, or if picking up the player actually makes sense instead of wasting all time and energy and just saying so and so was cut, lets pick him up. Noone gives any reason as to why we should pick up a player, they just say it without thinking. Robinson sucks ***, and even though our WR core isnt anything set in stone, bringing in Robinson is a waste. We have guys who are better, let them play.

Hey, isnt Vanderjagt available, lets sign him. You see how stupid and idiotic that sounds. This happens for EVERY single player. Im not saying to not discuss FA or trades, just discuss them if the player is ACTUALLY close to signing or has been traded. Its the same thing when someone makes a trade proposal that makes no sense whatsoever. They put no thought or reasoning behind it. My point is, if a player is cut, fine. You can have a thread saying this player was cut. We dont need 15 threads for EVERY single player that is cut saying "we should sign this guy". Think people, think. I dont know if its because people dont know anything or they are just like 13 years old who hears a "name" is cut and right away assumes Miami is or will be interested or that we should sign this guy. If your going to make a case to bring in a player, then BACK IT UP with reasoning.

Thanks for the inquiry about the weather. Today is ****, but its been 80 degrees and sunny all week.

I fully disagree with you. Have we ever signed a guy you didnt expect? Who are we to say who 'makes sense' or who doesnt? Get off your high horse.
