Enough about that guy, our ex-coach (I refuse to name him anymore -- All I can say is Go Auburn) I think not only is Miami a good job, I think it's the best job available...

The reasons why I feel the Miami job is the best available...

#1 - Miami was just dumped, anything the next coach does will be compared to abandonment.

#2 - 9th pick in the draft and only a 5th rounder missing.

#3 - Miami has a very proud and rich tradition yet is eager to win. Coming to Miami and being the guy to bring the "Glory Days" back to South Florida can bring legendary status. (Much like Curt Schilling in Boston).

#4 - The defense is still good. Yes they are a little long on the tooth but they are talented. There is a mixture of youth and age on this defense. Yes Keith Traylor, Zach, Jason, Vonnie and Kevin Carter are up in age but don't forget that Matt Roth, Yeremiah Bell, Will Allen and Channing Crowder are relatively young.

#5 - Daunte Culpepper should be back - Atleast physically. Let's not forget that his injury was supposed to be a 12 month injury and only the fact that he is a GAMER had him come back earlier. He will have to get over the mental aspect of the injury

#6 - Ricky Williams. We all saw what Ronnie and Ricky could be like together. It would be nice to see a full season of that.

#7 - Wayne... Say what you want about Huizenga but he is a fantastic FOOTBALL owner. He has deep pockets but knows that his knowledge is not in the football field. He is not Daniel Snyder or Jerry Jones.

#8 - Miami, FL. No matter how good the Marlins, Heat and Hurricanes do, this is absolutely a town dedicated to the Miami Dolphins. The fan base will be behind the coach!

-- Job Openings... (Arizona, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Oakland, Miami) --

Arizona = Good young QB and Wideouts. A solid RB. The problem in ARZ is that the defense and the offensive line needs to be revamped. They have a tradition of losing and a fan base not too convinced they will win...

Atlanta = Michael Vick has been called a coach killer. They need to figure out if they want to go with Vick or Schaub.

Pittsburgh = They are going to have the legacy of Bill Cowher haunting their next coach. They have lost The Bus, Randel El, and probably both assistants all within the last 2 years.

Oakland = AL DAVIS. Enough said...

That leaves us with The Miami Dolphins...

Just my 2 cents..... :dolphins:

Lmao, Saban now has the Lord Voldemort thing going for him.:sidelol:

Great post btw, agreed with everything you said.

There is also some other silver lining. The-coach-whose-name-I-won't-say has left us with some weapons. Especially in Ronnie Brown.

Nice post, I don't use his name either, just refer to him as the Traitor, or trickie nickie.

Good post, I made a similar one last night outlining how we can come back with a simple rebuilding plan.
The key is to actually rebuild. We need to drop playoff expectations for this season, draft some offense, reload the D a bit, and then in 3-4 years we will be hammering the AFC.

It doesnt take a long time to rebuild in this league anymore. Just have a little patience, accept one junky season, as long as there is obvious improvement, and then get ready to watch the wins rolling in.

Problem is, we've had a lot of "junky" seasons, and plenty of time to rebuild. It's tough to accept yet another "junky" season when we've had so many of them.

A+++ thread. After 2 days of frustration and anger its time to move on. In a weird way its great seeing the passion of fin fans through these tough times. When we get to the SuperBowl and win, it will be all worth it.

Culpepper's injury is a 24-month injury, not a 12-month injury. The fact that he managed to win the QB competition in training camp, and look good in preseason, all while being injured, speaks volumes. And now that he's actually feeling better thanks to the knee scope... well, all the "draft a QB" people should finally shut up.
