I gotta put this out there just because of how well Ricky is playing this year... He looks like the same running back the Saints traded their entire draft for and then we traded 2 1st round picks for...

in 50 less attempts, Ricky only has 100 less yds than ronnie, and 1 less TD. His average YPC is at 5.4 this year, to Ronnies 4.2..

I think it's time to look at the year in all honesty (at least this year) and decide that it's Ricky's turn to get the most carries in a game, with Ronnie getting what Ricky used to get.

Also, why the hell do we have Pat White running up the middle, and then Ronnie throwing the passes? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Our whole offense looks confused at times.. let them do what they do best..

play calling is STILL suspect it's been bad for weeks now.

A lot of that has to do with Ronnie getting absolutely STUFFED trying to run the ball out of the wildcat the past few weeks. Before the Wilcat started sucking balls, their ypc were nearly identical.

If our TE's could catch we would be saying, 'Ronnie needs to throw the ball more'.

I think Ricky should get the ball in the conventional sets more...he has run better than Ronnie out of conventional sets...just look at the long run he broke last week vs. the Saints....and what happend to that counter that Ricky used to kill people out of a few years ago??? Why not run that counter play a few times a game?? The play calling on offense is starting to really bother me....it's brilliant for about 6-10 plays a game...the rest of the time it's suspect....the personnel moves are starting to get on my nerves too...why not play the players that are working and leave them in there so thy can get in a rhythm....ie. Wake, Williams, Hartline started to get hot but then was sub in an out, put Ginn returning ALL kicks and nothing else...lol.....certain little things are starting to make no sense at all!!!

You're out of your mind. Last time I checked it was Ronnie throwing for a touchdown out of the wildcat. Ricky ran for one from the pitch back from Pat White.

As far as I can tell, no problems there.

One problem I did notice was our inability to move the ball in a normal offense. Or should I say, our inability for our WR to catch the ball. I'm looking at you Ted Ginn, who could have kept a game winning drive sustained if he JUST BROUGHT HIS DAMN HANDS TOGETHER CORRECTLY and caught the ball!

Stop trying to create problems where there are none. We have enough problems on the team without suggesting having Ronnie stop running it or throwing TD passes.

I agree. I'm not big on gimmicky plays, or the Wildcat itself, but the problem with Ronnie passing the ball is that he's not passing it to people that catch.

I've bee wondering about putting Ginn in for Ricky on the Wildcat, having Ricky in the slot or TE position, then having Ronnie pass to Ricky.

That would confuse the hell out of them, and Ricky (while not a perfect ball catcher) would be far more likely to make a reception than, say, anyone who's actual job it is.

If anything, Ronnie needs to be throwing it more. He has been getting stuffed at the line the past few weeks out of the wildcat because teams are still stacking the box. Now let Ronnie throw it a couple of times a game. Even if he has to throw it away, it will keep the teams honest. And open up more big runs out of the wildcat. Ricky has definitely earned his fair share of carries now, and I would say he is outperforming Ronnie at this point. Since Ronnie is in a (possible) contract year, I would say give him a game or 2 more to see if he can get back into a rhythm. Ricky is gonna be there, and even with fewer carries, he will be put in the right situations and still perform the way he has been.

I dont think Ginn would work in the Wildcat, not sure he could hold onto the snap! jk, i think he should be in Rickys spot, give ginn a running start and have ronnie hand it to him.
