I can't believe the BS that I'm reading on how Zach is slowing down, and as a person with an article on THIS website said ,"if you watch real closely you can see that he's lost a step."

ALL BULLCRAP!! He is leading the league in tackles and playing with heart with a team that HAS NO OFFENSE so far this year!! The ignorant media saying that he isn't making any big plays... How many big plays has the guy missed??? When something comes his way he makes the play! The TD's that were made on him this year were busted coverages of safeties.

BACK OFF, we're lucky to have the guy and I hope Saban isn't dumb enough to let him go anywhere...

I am with u 100% with this one it makes me sick when people trash talk about zach here we should be overwhlemed that we have a player of his calibre and skill on our team he is one of the top 5 middle linebackers in the league easily amybe even top three. zach is a great payer and i hope to god that he sticks around for more years to come for us.

I agree also, the only thing they are looking at is the fact that he has been getting blown off the ball a little more but that is due to his new diet and loss of weight, he is like 215 at Middle Linebacker right now of course when a 300 pound guard gets to him they are gonna win but the point is he is still making plays

31 (29)Dolphins1-6-0Trick: You can appreciate his effort, but Daunte Culpepper just wasn't ready.

Treat: Really, we have to come up with one? How about Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor who just keep making plays

He's leading the league in tackles five yards downfield from the LOS. No middle linebacker should be 215, especially not in our scheme. He has also been even worse at blitzing this year than he has been historically, which has been not real good.
Zach right now presents the same problem to Nick that Marino presented to JJ. He's a fan favorite, he still has a passion for the game, and he has the football smarts to make himself an adequate player on many plays, but physically he can't get it done any more, especially on the plays that count. Finding his successor and easing him out to pasture has got to be a big priority for Saban

I agree with the tackles after the RB gets past the D-LINE, what i don't agree with is the sacks and what happens everytime Zach gets sent in on a blitz.

I don't know how you guys see it (and remember this site is 100% opinions of others). It just seems that when he blitzes he gets his **s nocked out and never makes it to the QB. Wich then allows those big plays and breakdowns in the secondary. I'm not saying that it's his fault for all of the big plays but he is just not getting to the QB and that is a problem.

Saban's system requires the MLB to blitz and get to the QB. Much like Urlacher does. Watch this weeks game and you will see the diffrence. Urlacher will put the QB on his **s and Zach won't even come close.

I don't think that anyone is bashing Zach. Is just that he is not making game breaking plays like we are use to. I don't think he fits this system. I'm sorry if the HOMERS don't agree but that is how i see it. I love the FINS but i'm not scared to say it how i see it, because some one is going to say that i'm not a real fan, but the truth is that not only has Zach lost a step 75 % of that Defense has. It is time to start making some changes even if it means getting rid of some of the old faces. I want to win a S.B. soon even if it means getting rid of any player regardless of who it is.

One more thing. Why is it that we can't get off the field on 3rd down? If any one TVOS the games look back and see how Zach gets his **s nocked out everytime he blitzes and that leaves someone open in the middle of the field. 3rd Down has killed us this year because of that.

I like Zach but he has missed quite a few tackles this year. Its hard to see someone you like make mistakes but its true. I've seen RB's break his tackles more than a few times this year. He does get destroyed on his blitzes also.

Zach is underweight going by what he has said himself in the press which he puts down to being unhappy with the way the team is performing. I have to question that comment because Zach is supposed to be the consumate professional and to be an ILB at 215lbs with the experience the guy has isnt doing himself any favors. Im sorry but he must be slowing down a touch and its called age. The guy has ran through brick walls for the Dolphins so im not suprised if its catching up. I have nothing but admiration for Zach and hes been my favourite player for years so i think i have every right to comment on him and his loss of play beit missed tackles or speed. It was bound to happen so i see it as a natural thing not something to have a pop at with what ZT has done for this Franchise.

He has missed some plays... Urlacher is NOT better than Zach. How about that play they kept showing from last year when Urlacher got ran over by the BUS!! I have NEVER seen Zach get ran over like that! Bounce off a couple big backs when he doesn't put his arms out yes but not ran over!

You have to look at the play and the scheme before you start complaining about his blitzing. If you watch the scheme of the play most of the time when he is blitzing it is just to open up a play for someone else, they're sending him into a brick wall. Didn't any of you hear Ray Lewis's take on that?

He is still phenomenal in pass coverage as an ILB but don't expect him to be a DB... If he is trying to catch a play when from behind while he's playing an underneath zone and the safety makes the wrong read of course it's gonna look like the play was on him!

Come on man. Come on. If you do a poll right now on who's better, Urlacher crushes Zach on this forum.
