Saban will use what he has. Stop talking about bringing in Rivers, Volek, Maddox etc. There is no way that Saban is going to trade a player or a draft pick this season for a QB.
Enough talk about bring QBs from different teams.

I would have to say the worse one was for the Maddox or Ricky. That would almost be as stupid as giving up a 2nd for Feeley.

Agreed, we already lost one pick for an out of shape DT, I can't see him losing anymore.

Saban is the coach. He is a smart coach. The deck has been dealt for the year and that is what we are going to have. Just deal with it. Besides, bringing in a new QB at this point in TC will do nothing, but impede our progress. Unless we are getting a PROVEN PERENNIAL ALL-PRO PRO BOWLER, we need to just let things be this year and hope to get a real QB next year. Even better than that, I am rooting and hoping the 1 of the 4 average QB's we have steps up and become good, not great, just good.

Agreed, we will probably pick up a QB in the draft next year if one of our QB that is currently in camp does not start to emerge as a future starter.

Well i disagree... If there is a QB out there that is available for the right price (lets say Volek for a 3rd and a player like Feeley or Jordan) I believe they would do it. Why? because Saban and company believe in upgrading the position. And do you honestly believe there is a better QB in next years draft in the 3rd rd better than Volek?
As far as being too late...we still have 3 more pre season games to go and it will be ok to start Frerotte and bring somebody like Volek when he knows the system.

You're right; saying "no way" that Saban is going to do this or not do that is pretty silly. If an opportunity presented itself to significantly upgrade the QB position this year why wouldn't Saban at least consider it?PHINSfan said:
