why? because this is still our rebuilding year. we're not trying to win the Super Bowl.

It is a rebuilding year, but at the same time Saban wants to win, so him and randy will look at every scenario out there that can increase our chances of doing that. If a good QB with lots of upside can be had through trades, and/or low draft pick...Saban will pull the triger!

Dude I agree with you here, why not talk about it? Isn't this what the board is for? And how do we know we wont have a shot at another QB this season? Chances are we don't, but in the NFL? You never know for sure. What if Adrian Peterson who I hear has struggled a few times gets cut? You wouldn't want to bring him in and give him a chance? So anything is possible.

I agree that all this talk is discouraging and can be annoying. I don't see a trade for a QB coming at all. I do see Saban looking at Brees though seeing as how this is more than likely his last season in San Diego. Otherwise Saban will stick to building his team through the draft.

The point I'm trying to make is that with statements like "no way this happens", the statement is being presented as fact, instead of opinion. The only fact here is that we can't say what Saban will or won't do. Beyond that it's all speculation. That being said, I would be surprised if another QB was brought into camp this year. However, again, if the opportunity presented itself for us to improve, IMO Saban would at least explore it.
