First of all, hes not returning punts or kicks for 2 reasons. One is that they want him to concentrate on becoming a better receiver, and also they like what they have in Bess back there. Thats first. And for those of you that keep saying oh well he only had one catch for negative 1 yards, wtf do you want from him. He got thrown the ball, and was swarmed with defenders.

I think Ted Ginn is doing a pretty decent job at receiver this year so far. His games against the Pats and Chargers were both very good. Ted Ginn's biggest threat is his speed, and Pennington really cant use that so we have to wait for someone with a big arm to really use Ginn. Do i believe he should have been taken at number 9 overall? Probably not, but now that we have him, who gives a shi* where he was taken. Hes ours now, and hes one of the fastest players in the league, you can teach a guy to run better routes, but you cant teach a guy to become faster. Just wait, Ginn will prove all you haters wrong.

Look I'm not a big fan of trashing the players of this team but legit criticism is fair and to this point, Ginn deserves it IMO. There's no excuse for not getting seperation and being an asset.

Phinsfan is right tho Ginn cannot be successful in this offense simply because he cannot use his speed to his advantage because of Pennington's arm strength. Ginn needs some distance, at least 20 - 30 yards or so to be able to make the defender get lost using his speed, and in most cases Pennington will be unable to deliver those balls. Put Ginn on a team like the Colts or Eagles and I would almost gaurentee ud seem him very effective!

Well if Ginn is that limited we need to trade him now.

Wow way to completely miss the point of that post

Im not missing the point. If Ginn is a special receiver he can make plays with Chad Pennington at Qb. he made plays with Troy smith. Santanna Moss made plays with Chad as did Coles as did Cothery. If Ginn can get open Chad will get him the ball.

Did you guys see that pass to Braylon Edwards last night??? Ginn could easily run that route, but I doubt Pennington can throw that far.

I totally agree.... people making negative comments about somebody on our team without knowing the whole situation. Almost all wide receivers take three years to come of age.. He's in year two... relax....

dude, smart post, but just stop trying. Only some people on this board understand the game of football. Only some people know not to call a player a bust 5 games into his second year. The other will just bash you and scream BUST because he had one bad game. But props for a smart post

Pennington makes it impossible for Ginn to do what he does best so they have Ginn trying to do other things.

Like for starters this bubble screen stuff is ridiculous. I knew from the get go that was a dumb idea because Ginn shouldn't be starting and stopping, he's not shifty, he's lateral.

Ginn was open deep last year and no one could connect with him, he's been open deep this year and Pennington just can't make that throw.

I HAVE NO DOUBT Chad Henne can't wait to play with Ginn. Henne's got EXACTLY the arm Ginn needs. Remeber at Ohio State he caught NUMEROUS passes that the ball traveled beyond 45 yards. Thats his No.1 skill.....until he's able to do that his routes will be pressed by 2 defenders.

Make no mistake about it folks he's been double covered in every game. Defensive cordinators know who he is. And Sparano virtually said this week he did nothing wrong in the Houston game. Our OL colapsed numerous times rather quickly against the Texans so many of the deeper routes never had a chance.

I am still excited but I am an Ohio State fan, I know exactly who Ted Ginn Jr. is. If Sparano thought Ginn was worthless as a WR he'd be returning kicks.

Let me end by saying I STILL LOVE PENNINGTON. I can wait for Ginn's accomplishments another season. I am ok with winning now.

This thread makes me believe there are more people like me than I thought. I am sure we are all awaiting the day Ginn makes alot of people look stupid.

I'll never for the life of me understand why so many people take so much pleasure in trashing one of our own players.
