If we are talking pure BPA, than Ebron will be the most talented player in that range. Every mock draft I have read has him being taken between 17-19. If we can get Monroe for left tackle, and resign Soliai or Starks, I think we can get away with snatching up such a talented TE prospect. What do you guys think?

I don't think he will be there by the time we pick.

I thought you were trading up for either Bortles or Girlziel?

his 4.60 put him more in the #15-20 range i'd say..if he goes out and runs a low 4.5's at his pro day that could bump him...of course pro day times are always inflated

only tight end to come off before we pick in the 2nd round at least...

jets will grab him at 18 if he's there.

If Evans and Ebron are somehow both available at 18, Jets may opt for Evans > Ebron. Unlikely, but stranger things happen every year.

Ebron is surely a play maker but I believe that would be a luxury pick for us at the moment. I'm confident Clay continues to improve on a great 2013 season. We simply have more important holes to fill. I'm not saying Clay is better than Ebron will be or anything like that. Just saying Clay is good enough that it would be a luxury pick IMO.

That being said, I don't even think he makes it to 19.

We need a blocking tight end who's just athletic enough to punish a defense that ignores him. Blocking has to be the first priority.

That's the role Dion Sims was supposed to fill. Hopefully he's able to improve going into year 2. I don't think we draft any TEs this year.

We will enter the season with Clay, Egnew and Sims. Egnew has improved, albeit from pretty much nothing. He atleast saw the field last year towards the end. I'm not confident he turns into anything worth a damn but I'm pretty sure he's on our team next year and these 3 are our TEs.

I think drafting Ebron would be amazing. Even though I would not have a problem with taking Martin, or whichever Linemen is highest on their board when they pick, picking Ebron would be huge, and would help the Offense right away. I have a very good feeling Ebron will become special.

I would trade up in the second for seferian-jenkins. That dude is a monster. He can block better than Ebron and would be a HUGE redzone threat for tannehill.

TE is not a need and it's a deep class this year. Spending our 1st on a TE would be a waste IMO.
