Eric Kimble

His pro day time was listed at 4.62. I don't know anything about him. Perhaps he plays much faster than that. But the time is probably why he wasn't drafted.

Those are some pretty rediculous numbers. Did he play in a spread offense or something? At 5'11 200lbs and running a 4.62... I dont see how he dominated so much...

5 11 and 200 thats solid solid size for reciever but 4.62 is real slow

Mueller has lots of contacts in Washington and Idaho from his time in that territory. Eastern Washington is a small school, but just moved up to the big sky a couple years ago. I watched him play in person twice over the past two years. Kimble could be a find. He made a lot of clutch catches for E.W. , won a couple games with nice grabs. He is about 200lbs and fairly thick for his height. He has good lateral quickness.

They run a wide open offense. I used to go hangout at EW when I was in college, pretty boring place, but it is hot.

GO KIMBLE

Eric Kimble Draft Profile from FOX
Eric Kimble has been an all-around superstar for Eastern Washington contributing as a receiver, return man, and rusher in his time as an Eagle. Very productive and quite talented, Kimble had an amazing 2003 season when he caught 38 passes for 417 yards and six scores, and rushed 46-243-5 while handling the return duties as well. Over the next two seasons Kimble stopped rushing and was the main receiving threat on the team. He posted an 83-1,453-19 effort in 2004 and followed it up with an amazing 87-1,419-12 as a senior. Kimble is built like a running back at 5'11", 200 lbs and often plays like one. He is very aggressive and is not afraid of contact. He is quick and elusive with reliable hands and excellent balance. Kimble is a smart player that knows how to block and always works hard but projects to be a little less productive in the NFL. He wasn't playing against top competition in college, but he should be a solid pro nonetheless.

Where do we put him?

1. Chambers
2. Booker
3. Hagan
4. Welker
5. Campbell
6. Gibson
7. Aromashadu
8. Kimble

No way we carry 8 guys. I can see Gibson tossed out, but that's it....and there's no way we go with 7 WR's. But you gotta give Kimble a look. Maybe we drop Campbell.

Practice squad.

I think after Chambers, Booker, and probably Hagan, all the jobs will be open. Signing him made him the eleveth receiver on the roster, one more than we usually bring to camp. That suggests to me they really liked what they saw and thought he was worth a more extended look.

Welker will make the team. He's too valuable on ST. I saw the Pats game up here in Mass. in 2004 (we lost 24-10) and Welker kicked the FG and PAT.

Booker, Chambers, Hagan, Welker......(somebody at #5 WR).

I agree Welker is likely to make the team but Kimble will be given a chance to beat him out, imo. Chambers could do horribly in camp and he will make the 53 man roster, Welker can't.
