This just in. As it turns out Eric Mangini's press conference the other day anouncing his hiring or whatever; he was accompanied at the table beside him by his wife and his MOTHER!!
There is more than one reason why (ie keep NY media off Mangini at least for a day) but it just makes me howl and is really pathetic. Will they accompany him also at practices just in case a big lineman gets out of hand?!

While I hate the Jets just as much as anyone else. Could it just be that he wanted his mother to be with him for the biggest day of his life, so she could bask in the celebration with him? Obviously his wife would be there, both being onstage though I have to admit is a bit unusual.

Yeah but for guy who is trying to convince the world he can whip pro beasts into smashing machines is rather ironic. I mean I don't even think Belichick HAS a mother let alone bringing her to press conferences!

I don't really think it's funny that he brought his mother, but this is easy ammunition for anybody as this guy is so young.
