Eric Mangini

Not so fast my friend. There are 2 groups of candidates to be considered. One with Ireland as the GM and one without. The big 3 fit the latter. Guys like Rob Ryan and Mangini fit the former.

Until a decision is made concerning Ireland I would consider everyone within reason as being a possibility.
Reports this past week indicated that Gruden was at the top of the list and Cowher is near the top, so it is safe to say they are the #1 and #2 targets at this moment. I also believe that Ross wants these guys to keep Ireland. It is possible they could hire Gruden or Cowher, Ross gives an endorsement of Ireland but let's the new guy make the ultimate decision on Jeff.

Ross should have learned his lesson about seeking an employee for an already filled position. If Ross is not man enough to do it himself, I would expect Ireland to be back with someone other then the big 3.

Mangini is a great option if Luck stays another year in college.

I wouldn't mind him as a defensive coordinator nothing more please god please!

As long as we get LUCK, I could care less who coaches this team.

Luck will make any coach look "smart".

For the record, I am sure Gruden will be the target.. he's the "sexiest" name on the market.

IMO it takes more than just a good QB to make a championship calibor team as they say theres no Me in team and thats what it takes ,a real coach a elete QB ,VERY GOOD OL Decent wrs and good TE and esp a very good coach thats hungry and knows how to move a team up and down the field and into the endzone.

your right because he said that the Gmen was first on his list of teams he wanted to coach with miami 2nd .

Mangini has no/bad track record... Cleveland was a disaster and NE shouldn't count.... witch means he's qualified for this team. My bad, Freudian slip.

If Coughlin's team continues to give away games to inferior competition, like Seattle today, you can eliminate Cowher as a player in our melodrama.

I'd rather Cowher but he'll want complete control. If we land Gruden , Ireland can stay (Ross trust him for some reason) Ross can give his buddy from KC Parcell's old title and vala 2012 draft here we come.

I did not see this posted this week and kind of forgot to do so until this morning.

Find Sedano's interview with John Clayton (the most recent one). The topic came up of next year's coach and Clayton tossed out the name of Eric Mangini as a candidate.

Fellas, I do not think I could take this if it were to happen. I remember Ross had some contact with Mangini last year, but Magini said something like "not wanting to farm on Tony's land". Not sure what the exact quote was, but it was something like that.

Could you imagine if the big three turn us down and he settles for Mangini?

john claytons a dork and there is no way in hell mangini would EVER get this job. i swear if mangini were hired ill root for the patriots, cause ross really truly would be the dumbest owner on this planet. and im not gonna deal with KNOWING the dolphins are going to FLAT OUT SUCK for the next 5 years. u ever see this moron on first down??? the guy CANT EVEN TALK. and he sits there and twitches - how the hell is he gonna lead a team???

john claytons being an idiot and trying to keep his espn buddies name in the news so SOMEBODY ANYBODY will give the rat a job
