Just listened to the Troy Stradford show, and Hank Goldberg was on there discussing the Carson Palmer trade to Oakland. When the topic shifted to our Fins, he said that Ross has been talking to Eric Mangini, and that he thinks Ross' hand has been forced with last night's performance. But Eric Mangini? Seriously? Does Ross want a stadium full of empty seats? This is the guy who is going to turn things around for us? How'd that work in Cleveland or New York? Didn't Mangini's players quit on him before?

It is so hard to stomach that we, as Dolphin fans, ENVY Detroit Lions fans. How far the once-mighty have fallen. **** You Stephen Ross. **** You and your orange carpet, your Mark Anthony, your stupid Club LIV, and everything else you have done. The only owner in the league who encourages fans in the stadium to WATCH TV RATHER THAN THE FIELD!!!!! **** You for ruining this franchise.

If Ross hires Mangina, without a doubt the team will be a reflection of the owner.
Is this to satisfy Ireland and keep him in the fold hiring another fall guy? I am so sick of this.
Could it be that this franchise has slipped so far that no winning coach will accept the position or has Ireland brain washed Ross?

I'll straight up boycott the team if Eric Mangini is brought in to be the new head coach. Straight up boycott, give no ****s.

Overreact much?

Why, because I'm pissed that our clueless owner has dismantled this franchise? No, I think my sentiments are right in line with reality. But hey, there's plenty of sand over in South Beach, maybe you should go bury your head over there and pretend that everything is hunky dory.

This is purely a question, not second guessing you in any way, but how has Ross dismantled this organisation? The 'regime' that is in place now was in place BEFORE he was full owner, no?

What do you mean by "talking to Mangini"? As in for head coach? I doubt there is any truth to that.

I know this team is in shambles, but I'm not going to get upset because of a dumb, what, Internet rumor? I hope you're not assuming since Ross is "communicating with Mangini" that he's are new head coach. Do you really think Mangini is that "superstar" head coach Ross wants? If you do go bury your head in that sand your speaking so highly of and pretend you have a clue what's going on.

Because people want to blame Ross for everything. The same people blaming Ross for this mess and getting upset that he hasn't fired Sparano yet are the same clowns who were upset with him for trying to bring in Harbaugh.

Or for holding back Ireland from pulling the trigger on an Orton deal. It's entertaining how through the revisionist looking glass of cyberspace some delusionals can parse their way into being self-anointed "realists" eh?

I simply wrote what I heard on the radio. I'd say that Hank Goldberg, who was apparently reporting about the Palmer trade yesterday, is a bit more reliable than some guy just sitting in front of a computer in Des Moines. I didn't say that Ross was going to hire him...just that Goldberg implied that Ross likes him and the 2 have been talking. For all I know, they could be exchanging recipes.

And when I say dismantled the organization, I am referring to the team from a fan's perspective. Ross is the elderly guy who holds parties for 20 year olds so that he can feel alive again. He took away our song, added a bunch of celebrities that no one cares about, added a nightclub for people who probably could give 2 ****s about football want to attend, and hawks a viewing device that distances fans from the game by taking their attention from the field. I don't think Gloria Estefan saying "Go Miami" is going to inspire any enthusiasm. I don't want to hear Mark Anthony's I Need to Know every time there is a review. I don't want to hear Fins to the Left because Jimmy Buffett gave you a few bucks (not even as an owner) to get naming rights for a year. Ross has done zero to improve the team, and I have yet to hear a single person tell me that they like any of the alleged "improvements" at the stadium.

Wasn't there a report that Ross was telling them NOT to spend money? That is not how an owner committed to winning behaves. He pursued Harbaugh and failed, leaving a lame duck coach who knows he is on a short leash, and we become fodder for all of the talk shows around the country.

Rather than answering your question, I'll ask my own.....how has he NOT dismantled the franchise?
