Eric Rowe & Justin Gilbert out there to be had for a 4th round pick and 7th round pick respectively. Both fit our scheme better than the ones they were in. With the challenges we've had at CB all preseason I'm a little surprised we did not move on either of them.

The team must have very high expectations for Xavien Howard this week. That's encouraging.

And New England swoops in and grabs Rowe, a starting corner, for a backup lineman....SMH

Cant trade for them.new england gave up a 4th. That's what happens when u trade your 3rd and 4th in next year's draft for a position we didn't need this year

I haven't heard what picks we gave up next year other than the round. Could be the compensatory picks that we traded...???Not that I would have given up a 4th for Rowe.

No need. Xavien Howard & Chris Culliver.

On that note, it will be interesting to see if the players who were unable to compete in Pre-Season have a big impact on the team this year. Howard, Drake, Culliver, Jordan....even Foster to a certain extent. Some big names at key positions there.

Xavien Howard is good & a stud....I bet if we didn't sign the Lions safety we might'ev done this deal.

Dallas Thomas & a 4th for Eric Rowe would'ev been awesome.

Well to be honest Dallas Thomas & a 4th is actually far less appealing then just a 4th, so it probably still would have gone to the Pats.

Getting a 6th round pick from the Steelers for Gilbert is highway robbery..

I can guarantee if these trades were made by the Dolphins people would be more concerned by our depleted draft picks (4th rounder for Rowe), and rightfully so.

Gilbert was pretty terrible in Cleveland. His youth is the only thing giving him any value. Without that he's looking for a job right now.
