Eric Winston meeting Fins tonight

Well it's better than preaching knee jerk reaction negativity which is all you do. It's ok to be upset, but for the love of god take it like a man.

Lets stop right there you don't know me so let's not sling insults about manhood! My reaction is the truth like it or not since selecting Long signing Smiley, Grove, Incognito, Columbo, and drafting Jerry and Pouncey this regime has invested very heavily in a very bad oline. We have one weapon on offense now Bush and losing Marshall means he is running against a stacked box. Every year Ireland and company create more holes then they fill. There is only so many draft picks that you can get impact players and what has this regime done to prove they value them anyways?

listen i know its been years....ive suffered but can some people relax here....its 2 hours into FA.....if by draft we still dont have a qb or wr then bitch all you want but lets stay optimistic regardless of screw ups in the passed....we do have a new coach

This is great news. Now all we have to do is Draft DeCastro at #8, take a LG in the 2nd round, and then a backup RT and LT in round 3 whilst ignoring all skill positions in free agency and the draft and we are set.

Sounds about right for this incompetent team. Trade Wide Receiver, bring in more linemen! Awful organization this is.

 The latter hasn't even happened yet. Chill man. I tell you what, though, that's one hell of a lineman we'd be bringing in. Plenty of time left this offseason to see how it all pans out.

Well I was on the way home and listening to Sirius NFL Radio and Eric Winston came on to talk free agency. I will paraphrase what he said but I was very encouraged despite Pat Kirwan trying to steer him to the Jets or Giants and Tim Ryan telling him to go to the NFC.

Eric Winston said that concerning his salary, he'll do what's best for his family but he's not looking for a lot of money. He wants to play for a winner, got a taste of it this year in Houston and wants more. He's been through a lot of bad years in Houston and winning is very important to him. He also said that he's very interested in what the coach (Philbin) has to say about what direction he wants to take the team and that he knows a 6-10 team could easily become an 11-5 team in one year with the right moves and the right coach. He sounded very upbeat about the Dolphins and his upcoming meeting. He also said that he has the size to play in any scheme but that if a team incorporating a ZBS like they ran in Houston were to talk to him that would be a factor cause he likes the system and knows how it works.

If you sign him you don't have to use the first rounder on a lineman. We could get a skill position player there. So basically it saves us a pick.

Coincidence our first visit is to get the best RT on the market and give us the best OT tandem in the NFL? I think not.

This makes me think Peyton Manning is on board with the Phins.
I'm sure Manning is salivating at the thought of having 2 starting WR's who have no business being #2 wr's in the league, let alone #1 and #2. Bess and Hartline were piss poor 2nd and 3rd wide receivers. They currently make up the worst starting WRs in the league. Bottom of the barrel.

Considering we just traded our only weapon at WR we pretty much HAVE to use our 1st rounder on a WR. Given how dumb we are we probably wont though. We ll end up building up a decent o line for a change so they can block for a scrub QB throwing to scrub WR's. Perfect Dolphins logic.
