dont underestimate B Marshalls salary as a reason for moving him out... perhaps management questioned why we needed a 11 mil/yr wide out with no one to throw him the ball, instead opted to recoup some of that salary, and saving it for qb and other positions of need. the fact that chi took his salary off our hands and gave us a pair of 3rd rnd picks is a win-win, esp with the wage scale implemented this year.
 
Marshall is a big head case. Why would you want that over priced headache in a west coast precision offense. He doesn't run precision routes. He does what he wants and complains when he doesn't get every pass. He is a good WR but he is 6'4" and BIG and how many TD catches did he have the last 2 years?? You gotta make plays in the redzone at that size and $11M/yr!!

This whole FA comes down to getting a QB and Flynn has always made the most sense because of the system they would be running. He knows the coaches and the system and can execute it in his sleep. No brainer - not sure why they are screwing around but if they don't get him they will be the laughingstock of the NFL and should be!.
 
This reminds me of the Jason Brown negotiation we low baffled him and he went to STL. Then out of panic we sign Grove to a contact similar in guarantees to what Brown got. So the question is, who is the second best rt in fa??
