So what happened? Where did the Miami Dolphins go wrong? What's wrong with Wilford?

Here's the answers I've been given, and at times saw for myself: He's slow getting off the line of scrimmage, struggles to create separation, and doesn't consistently catch the ball with his hands. Those were the issues in practice, which makes one conclude he's not a "practice performer," which doesn't exactly put him in good standing with the Trifecta.

However, the Dolphins knew ALL of those shortcomings before they paid him a $6 million signing bonus as a free agent in 2008.

What they didn't know is that he's not a strong special teams contributor, and that they had a gem of an overachiever in Greg Camarillo, signed a pretty good undrafted rookie in Davone Bess who developed quickly, and would claim Brandon London, a special teams beast with size and speed, from the waiver wire.

Those three receiver leapfrogged Wilford on the depth chart, and kept him inactive for most of the season

We need to keep him around. Getting rid of players that put together our magical run last season is a bad idea. We'll start from scratch again. We need the unit to hold together!

For some reason, I thought you were talking about this:

Nope, cause Ginn is #1 and the rest of the bunch battled it out for #2.

I think your statement should have read, Ginn is TRYING to become a #1 WR. He is hardly there. Ginn was EXPENSIVE and Bess was basically free, you tell me who carries the most value as of right now.:chuckle:

How was Wilford part of our success last season?

What do you mean not a word about Ginn? Have you not been paying attention? Everytime TS praises the offense he mentions Ginn. The whole thing about getting Henne ready is to benefit Ginn.

Please ...

We need to keep him around because it would cost more to get rid of him. Also, he had nothing to do with the magical run.

Damn! We've lost 4 players from last season already!

Well guys, looks like we're headed for another 1-15 season

That doesn't make any sense. He didn't contribute in anyway. Just to keep him around because he there last year is plain dumb. If we keep him it's going to be about money!

Good receivers make plays regardless of who is throwing to them. The great ones take short routes and make big plays. Everyone acts like Ginn's play will be so much better with Henne at the helm. Great receivers don't rely on fly patterns. Ginns special skills are limited to his speed. Other than good hands he doesn't have good vision, can't break tackles, he doesn't make people miss. HE JUST RUNS FAST!

Ginn is a good WR. He had some very good games last year. Don't blame him for where he got drafted.

And yes he did make quite a few people miss on those end around TD's last year.
