The reasons for some of the struggles in the passing game thus far is not haveing a big shutdown reciever in the game. There is no doubt we got speed at the reciever position but we dont have that one big guy that can go up and get the ball. Bottom line is WE NEED WILFORD IN THE GAME. GO FINS

I do agree that it would be nice to have Wilford in the game especially in goal-to-go situations where the fade rout is so successful. But if he can't show the coaches enough during the week to warrant being placed on the active roster on gameday, then he really can't fault anyone but himself. They prefer London due to his special teams play, but I would expect London (a big guy) to start making more of an impact as a receiver as the season goes on. Wilford is indeed a sad story, though.

you know i really wish wilford would live up to his contract and potential but there's something about him that the FO is not happy with and tahts why he's sitting out

Wiflord isnt that one big guy who can go up and get the ball, London is (or should be considering he is more productive than Wilford), and hopefully London's opporunities will continue to increase and he will make good light of them. If Wilford cant go up and get the ball in practice, against our suspect secondary, how in the hell do you think he'd be able to do in games. Wilford is a FA bust, nothing more, nothing less.

If the guy can't practice better than Ginn, Camarillo, Bess, or London, then he doesn't deserve to play.

 Agreed! London needs to get those opportunities. There is something I really like about that guy.

I,ve heard that the main reason he and Hagan have been inactive is because they don't contribute on special teams. I think Hagan got the hint and has been playing ST, but it seems like that thought hasn't occured to Wilford for some reason.

What is a shutdown WR?

No hard feelings, just bustin your chops:)

I think London will be that guy, Wilford is a loss.

How about Hagan:lol:

I was going to touch on the same thing. London, little by little, is getting his oppurtunties and this week is expected to be his biggest one yet.

At this point London is a 1000 times better option. This kid is sooooo hungry to be a good WR. Wilford is a stiff who likely will be released in feb.

Who is Wilford? :)
I'd like to see London get more reps though I really want to see Bess get the ball more then a couple times a game. I'd like to see what he could do if he got the ball thrown to him 5 to 8 times in a game.

Unfortunately, I dont think the FO will release him due to his big signing bonus. I see them more than not giving him another chance next season for that reason alone.. Unless of course we upgrade the position and he is pushed off the depth chart
