At 3:31 in the the 3rd quarter C. Pennington threw a pass short right to T. Ginn and he was pushed out of bounds at the Baltimore 13 for 8 yds but the clock did not stop and a whole bunch of time ran off. Did anyone else notice this? I didn't tape the game but I thought someone here may have? It was really obvious but the announcers and no one mentioned it during the game. Just wondering if anyone caught this or could check it if they didn't mind.

I noticed it and wondered about it as well. I thought maybe they ruled some stupid new thing where the clock keeps running if the receiver runs out of bounds on his own before the 4th quarter. I don't know why it kept running otherwise.

yeah, i noticed that. Ginn ran out of bounds and the ref made the signal to continue the clock which was odd.

i also pointed that out to a friend of mine and he said that the clock continues to run unless he was pushed out of bounds under 2 minutes in the 2nd or 4th quarter, i'm not sure how accurate that is

I saw it to and was tripping mad....Its the same as teams running the 2 minute
drill...they run out of bounds...and the clock is supposed to stop.
It has nothing to do with getting push out or whatever.

Glad you noticed. My uncle mentioned that rule but i checked the play by play on cbssportsline and the time it occurred was 3:31 in the 3rd so it wouldn't apply.

You know....I noticed that too.... although almost subconsciously. I thought....why did the ref signal the timekeeper to keep the clock going?

So what is the answer?

Ya thats the play you know what I'm talking about he started swinging his arm around.

I thought it was a new rule too. It happened all game long.

Mine was subconscious too but only for a minute then i got vocal with the t.v.,lol. The only answer i got was we were robbed I guess we are just going to have to replay the game.Wait till i point this out to joey porter ,lol.

The clock only stops when a player goes out of bounds in the last 5 minutes of each half.
Juice thats what ive been hearing, ialso heard 2 minutes and five, but either way this happened in the third so it wouldn't apply.

I did not catch the one you are all talking about but I did see a late snap by Flacco that was not called. No one seemed to say much about it but the play clock expired for at least a full second before he snapped the ball and no penality was called
